Eddsworld! Eddsworld! Wait, whose world is it???
Tom: Blue hoodie. Both angry and rude. Maybe it's the smarts, maybe it's the 'tude? One thing's for certain, he doesn't make sense. Half the time, it's gibberish, the other half's ingoobelyblench. (What?)
Matt: Purple Hoodie! Also green overcoat? No one likes him as much as himself, He's got a formidable chin, Though he doesn't know that word, Cause he's got the intelligence of a kitchen shelf! (Hey!)
Edd: Green Hoodie! Usually the leader, Probably the first of them all to poke fun, He's the artist, He loves cola, And he's always trying to make a pun!

Before we Begin
So Eddsworld has lots of material to work with.
The main series, shorts, some games and comics
All the source material will be used for this blog and so will everything the characters have had.
Now in now way shape or form are these characters related to their IRL counterparts. They are separate beings, separate people and separate in personality as to pay respects to the actual people who are or used to be involved with Eddsworld and Edd Gould.
Background
Born in London, Edd Gould created a parody of the 1992 movie, Wayne's World. He called his parody "Eddsworld." His friend and co-producer Thomas Ridgewell and his best friend Matt Hargreaves helped him produce Eddsworld since its premiere in 2005! Eddsworld follows the misadventures of a group of young adult "morons" living together in a house somewhere in the UK. It centers on Edd, an artist obsessed with Coca-Cola and telling puns; Tom, a jaded nihilist and alcoholic who lacks eyeballs (It is constantly debated by the fandom whether he has no eyes, or if they're just completely black); Matt, a dim-witted narcissist; and sometimes Tord, a trigger-happy Norwegian addicted to hentai, a gun expert, and an interested communist. The Origin of the main 3 themselves is a little confusing but we'll try our best to figure it out.
Now these guys have been friends for a LONG time, it's been shown many times that they've been friends since childhood. (Matt canonically caused the death of Tom's father when they were kids, who's either a pineapple or a watermelon nobody really knows.) Edd was always an artist though and through, loving to draw and loving to rub it in everyone's face. Matt was always the dimwit, but he's always loved himself more than anyone. Tom was born from a Bowling Ball and Pineapple/Watermelon, after his father was killed somewhere down the line he got possessed by a demon which MIGHT be another cause of his eyes?? Again no one knows. As they grew up together they ended up just moving in with each other in the same house living the same ol boring life. Until they end up having to go through a zombie apocalypse, a monster attack, a Ghost infestation, each other or just trying to actually be financially wealthy. After their old friend Tord blew up their house, they ended up living as neighbors in a large apartment complex where they still do the same old same old,
And the insanity continues to thrive.
Skill and Experience
These guys have been going through absolute hell for many many years. They went through many zombie apocalypses, were trained in the military, went to hell and have gone up against aliens. Throughout the years they've faced many monsters, demons and each other…they're also very skilled with using guns, which makes sense since they're gone through many zombie encounters. They've also dealt with time travel and the worst thing of all…CLIMATE CHANGE. Not to mention Edd knows Karate, Tom was able to take over Christmas, and Matt fought the entire military as a giant lobster.
And perhaps the most impressive thing anyone has ever done, is when Matt read an entire Eddsworld fanfiction….truly horrifying…

A Penny that is MAGIC and can grant you any wish. But if you wish for infinite wishes it will OWBEHEJISJSNSJAIISJSJ (which is Latin for explode.)
Bathmobile
Need transport through a zombeh infested area?? You need a Bathmobile.
Motorcycle
Edd honestly looks pretty badass on a motorcycle..
Zombeh killing equipment
Everyone needs good equipment to kill the undead, these guys have everything they need. A Shovel, a Bat, Knives, a Chainsaw….oh and a mop.
Guns
The trio has had many many firearms in their arsenal, such as shotguns, machine guns, assault rifles, paintball guns and water guns.
Flamethrower
Tom is right, flamethrowers are awesome!!
Necronomicons
Yes, the cursed zombeh books. One instantly kills you, the other sucks you inside for eternity, and the last one can remove the undead curse from your body.
Bazooka
Tom loves to hate Christmas, so whenever he's on the roof trying to kill Santa Clause he has his trusty bazooka in hand.
Spoon powered time machine
A Time machine…that travels through time…that's powered by spoons……Cool.
Tank
A Fucking TANK, that the gang used to completely overthrow the enemy base in war
Car
A car! That can fly!!! So cool!!! (Unless you question the logic of how it's flying…)
Giant Magnet
A giant magnet that's so powerful it can attract a space shuttle
Time Pad
A stable time traveling device from the future, it can travel forwards and backwards in time, and can bring people back from the past and alter time itself.
Zantas Sleigh
Zanta Claws may be a truly evil Santa but that doesn't mean he's basic with weapons. Tom acquired his Sleigh and it has mini turrets, missiles and of course a nuclear BOMB.
Boxmas Bot
This giant robot comes equipped with giant turrets, giant missiles and giant punches to throw. (Why did anyone think the Van was a good idea?)
Susan
Tom's bass guitar that he loves so much, who can also be used as a weapon…i mean guitars would probably hurt a lot if you were hit by one
Laser Gun
Just a laser gun :3
Spaceship
A spaceship with many weapons and uses, it can also blow up planets and fly through space in matters of seconds
Normalizer
A gun that can reverse any damage made to a person whether it be a scar, or an entire limb shot off
Sword
A sword, a very cool sword.
Harpoon Gun
Harpoons, harpoons, they're better than spoons.
Memory Eraser Gun
A gun that can just erase your memories in an instant lol, thanks Tord!

Zombehs
As a Zombeh, Matt can lead and command other Zombehs and make them do lots of Zombeh things…
Death in a can
Do you love death?? I sure love death! But the inconvenience of not having death on the road is so bothersome right? Well lucky for you we have our patented Death in a can! A can that can kill you! Almost immediately!!
Construction Equipment
Crafty Fellas huh! They have lots of construction equipment like hammers, drills (no nails) saws; literally any construction equipment you can think of lol
Eddbot
Edd needed a robot to handle the website, unfortunately it wanted to be the one true Edd….seems like the Eddbot has the same plot abilities as Edd considering he started making art of the comics.
Nightmare Fuel
Edd has literal fuel called Nightmare Fuel that can bring inanimate objects to life and give them nightmarish form, as seen with the lawnmower above
Paintball Equipment
Paintball is a very fun sport, just make sure to not accidentally kill someone…it's pretty messy.

Let's just hope it doesn't have a gun..
Yo-yo
Edd is actually very skilled in the arts of Yo-yo…

Abilities
Size Manipulation
That's right, Edd grew bigger than the whole planet, SUCK IT Galactus.
Elevator to Hell
Ever want to take a nice vacation to the deepest darkest pits of the underworld?? Luckily for you, you can summon a portal that summons an elevator that'll lead you straight to H E double Hockey sticks!
Zombification
Want a second chance at life?? The Gang can come back from the dead and turn into a ZOMBEH. A fully conscious and alive one too, being a zombeh gives you the ability to control other zombehs and turn other people into Zombehs
Duplication
It seems their ability of being able to duplicate or clone themselves is a very common trope..
Hair Manipulation
Tom has the ability to manipulate his hair, he can make it grow to incredible lengths and even control it as seen above. It's a disorder!!
Body Morphing
Obviously they're cartoon characters, which means their physiology must have some sort of cartoon awareness to it. They can stretch limbs (here's another), morph their body (as seen above), and can even morph their animations.
GHOST..
As opposed to coming back as zombies, the gang can also come as spooooky ghooooosts, they can even harm or touch people as ghosts
Non Physical Interaction
Even when they're not ghosts the gang can interact with Non Physical things like Ghosts.
Toon Force
These guys have some pretty wacky Toon Force abilities, whether it be breaking logic as seen above, messing with comic panels or even just summoning shit out of nowhere like a fuckin STAR. They can also instantly make anything explode just by throwing it.
Transformations
The Gang has gone through many transformations through the years. Matt has been turned into a Zombie, a Ghost, a Vampire, and a Giant Lobster Monster. Tom has transformed into a giant demonic monster twice as seen above, so it's probably usable. Edd has transformed into a slinky and a bowling pin. (He was also turned into a Youtooz figure…) And Tom can transform into a snowman, with Matt being able to become a star.
Superpowers
When exposed to radiation, Edd becomes PowerEdd!! He has X-ray vision, Super flight (which Tom also unironically has) Freeze breath that can freeze large areas, heat vision, super strength and super speed. With similar powers Eduardo literally became a fucking super Saiyan and pulled a Kamehameha blast.
Sealing
As we have already mentioned the necronomicon being able to seal you, Tom can Inherently seal your soul in his eyes. Edd can also trap people inside his computer.
Immortality
Even when they die, have their souls trapped, or literally anything that constantly kills them happens, they always come back…somehow. This is proven by the fact they kept relics from past episodes, including ones where they apparently died. Hell they even reenact old scenes. This also shows how these guys can survive some crazy stuff, like being chopped in half, having a spear through their head, or missile explosions. Even being melted down by heat won't stop them. Not to mention they can come back after even becoming Ghosts.
Plot Manipulation
Since Edd is the artist, he has power over everything. He can change the art style, mess with the plot, and can even draw things into existence. Hell anything he says even out of context will come true. Edd is not the only one with this kind of ability, Tom has a button that can instantly end the comic and all 3 have added a panel to the comic before. Edd once even drew outside of the comic. (There's literally an entire episode dedicated to the characters hiring their own voice actors and interacting with their own animators) And Edd is capable of changing his own continuity.
Resistances
Sealing: when trapped in the Necronomicon, Matt was able to instantly escape it, plus they're already able to escape the comic they're in. The Gang also survived their souls being trapped
Possession: As Tom himself said “You can't possess something TWICE.”
Time Manipulation: They have some sort of resistance to things like paradoxes and time changes, even when Matt changed the entire past they somehow have his same framed picture from that episode when things were supposedly normal
Transmutation: seeing as they can already morph their bodies and change their animations, and Edd has turned back to normal after transforming into objects; it seems that Transmutation would not affect them.
Physical Erasure: Matt was able to still somehow stay alive when his body was completely burned from the sunlight
Corruption and Disease Manipulation: Edd and Co are constantly having to deal with zombie apocalypses, and even becoming Zombies themselves. But they're always able to get out of it by the next episode, even when Edd and Tom got a fresh zombie bite they ended up being perfectly fine.
Heat Manipulation: Edd and Co are able to survive the heat of the sun many many times.

Speed
Edd shook his head so fast while drinking milk he turned it into cheese.
Edd can move faster than a bullet…yeah.
Tom maneuvered through multiple turret rounds

Piloted a Spaceship that traveled from Galaxy to another in 2 seconds (1.05815E+2 mi/h) (Trillions C)
Durability
Tom survived this explosion

Weaknesses
While yes they are insanely hard to kill, and they're excellent with using weapons and fighting hand to hand, they're just one main problem. They are huge…idiots. They're so stupid they'll put themselves or others in life threatening situations just because they did something stupid. They're basically just morons who always go into action not knowing what to do or how to plan. Sometimes they somehow end up just killing themselves in the process. Their stupidity and stubbornness is their main weakness when it comes to deadly situations.
Preferred Opponent?
So who's my preferred Opponent for this trio?? Well that's hard to say, it's hard to fully do what you fully want for these guys, but only one matchup can do most things right.
Ed, Edd n Eddy definitely seem like the most fun option for the Eddsworld gang, connections aren't too bad, there's a really good aesthetic and vibe to it and the interactions are gold. You can have much fun with toon force, arsenal and ability dynamic potential. And there's an endless amount of cool scenes you can have with this, especially mixing it in with Eddsworld forms and insane toon force. It's just an overall fun matchup that gives you a lot for both trios and really goes into their friendship dynamics and humor.

First of all, Credit to Stars and Olegg for helping with calcs and being my personal slaves, they're both Ws…
Man this was so fun to do, I've always loved Eddsworld and I always loved the characters. Once again I'm not a professional blog poster and researcher, I'm just doing this for fun. But I am pretty proud of how this came out considering how much Eddsworld has been around. Now I will say I did refrain from using the much older animations since it's just focused on Edd Gould himself and not the character he made, and there are games but most of them are lost media, in fact there's lots of lost media but I tried to include as much as I can. More Blogs are coming on the way and I promise you'll enjoy them a lot 🔥
