Death By Blog: Mr. Krabs vs Captain K'Nuckles

"Greed is good" - Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street”

Welcome to DBB

Ahoy there readers! I've recently been thinkin' about the era o' the gentlemen o' fortune. They was voyagers, scoundrels who battled fer enjoyment! an' o' course, they was greedy to the bone. Driven by the hunt fer riches or gluttony. But that be what we be 'ere to focus on! pure greed an' the willingness to satiate that there greed, but o' course the willingness to put aside many things fer this here obsession o' theirs. From a young age, these old pirates were born fer the daft life they would 'ave to endure with their annoyin' an' childish underlings. These old farts go by many names, most o' them by other people who despise them, but we call them....

Mr. Krabs: Owner of the Krusty Krab, obsessed with riches and fortune

Captain K'Nuckles: Pirate and personal captain, obsessed with sweets and treats

Ye know me, FMT

An' it be time to see which Begrudgin' Buccaneer 'as the best arsenal, abilities an' actions to find out who be sentenced to Death By Blog

Before We Begin

This here won't really be too difficult to discuss in terms o' their canon an' media. Fer Mr. Krabs, we'll be usin' the main spongebob series, the patrick starrr show, kamp koral, all o' the movies, all o' the comics, an' o' course all o' the games. We will also be usin' nickelodeon all-starrr brawl 2! just fer extra moves an' all 'ehehe..

As fer K’nuckles, he unfortunately does not 'ave as much. We be usin' the main series, any flash/cartoon network games, an' CN Punch Time Explosion; once again fer extra moves..

Alright and now we stop the pirate talk because this is gonna drive me crazy..

And because these guys are pirates and a sea battle sounds awesome, we will be including any ships or modes of water transportation for an epic “ship" fight!

Connections

  • Are old washed up ex-navy pirates/sailors that grew up with a poor childhood that led them to be as greedy and gluttonous as they are now

  • Obsessed with something that they constantly crave and attempt to take for themselves, and their life goal is to get as much of it as possible.

  • Father figures who have a rocky relationship between whales that they do care for, have a rivalry with someone with an odd wife choice, and are hated by everyone in their town for how scummy and greedy they are.

  • Are also scam artists and thieves that will trick anyone with false advertising into believing their lies in order to get rich much quicker

  • Both bet their most trusted companions and underlings for their own selfish gain.

  • They constantly exploit and use their underlings if they can do something that'll make them a lot of money/candy, and practically make them do everything for them because of how naive and trusting they are.

  • Both considered their underlings replaceable until realizing that they cared and needed them, and ultimately saw them as their own son.

Background

Mr. Krabs

“From every sight I've ever seen, the sweetest sound I've heard. I'd gladly give up everything for all the money that I've earned!”

Many many years ago, the humans tested on perfect waters, detonating 24 nuclear weapons in Bikini Atoll, causing nuclear fallout in the waters below. This caused life to spring in the deep ocean, creating entire civilizations and communities, where the sea life became intelligent and aware. Some became aware of the infinite possibilities of the great ocean, some became aware of the fact sea life completely sucks, but there are also some who became aware of something greater…the RICHES. Oh there were doubloons, prized artifacts, and CASH. Most of the great pirates wanted these riches, and ever since he was a kid, Eugene Krabs wanted it more than anyone.

Eugene did not have the greatest childhood, he grew up very poor, having to fend for himself because of the fact he had no money to do anything for himself. Though even at a young age he knew how to save money if he ever had any, learning how to be exceptionally cheap. Krabs would attempt to get as much money as he could, however money wasn't everything he liked. He also had a childhood friend named Plankton. They were the best of friends that could never separate, they'd help each other out, work together in sticky situations, and even attempt to make a restaurant together. Of course they at first didn't make the right recipes, they tried their best to make a good eating establishment. However they had their differences and wanted to make a successful restaurant for opposing reasons. This led to the two friends splitting up their friendship, and the secret recipe. Plankton took the half with chum being an ingredient, making something everyone despised; Krabs took the rest, making the perfect patty batter that everyone loved.

Krabs would then become a true pirate, inspired by his Grand pappy who was a pirate himself, Krabs would go on many pirate adventures, making his own crew and searching for Doubloons and attempting to chase the trail to riches. Although after his crew wanted most of the gold he collected and practically left him penniless, he decided having a crew and being a pirate was not the life for him. Eugene would then enlist in the Navy and join other sailors in order to do hard jobs and exploration. Krabs went through many harsh experiences, having to get rid of old friends that ate all of the gold they collected, having nothing to eat but chum which he actually started to enjoy, and even having to join a harsh war. What was the war about? We don't truly know. It could've been a war between sailors and pirates, evolved fish and primal fish, evolved fish and humans, we may never know. We just know this war left a lasting impact on Bikini Bottom and the ocean, and it especially affected Eugene. Even after becoming a father to a young whale named Pearl, he was left in a very depressive state…he needed something to help him fill this void…

Krabs remembered that he already made the perfect patty batter, his burgers sold amazingly when he was a lad, perhaps he could take advantage of that. After seeing that an old retirement home was already reaching bankruptcy, he decided that he would buy it, transform it into a new age restaurant, and call this eating establishment “the Krusty Krab". He would hire workers to help him in his ultimate money crusade. Of course there's the cashier worker, a real ray of sunshine who complains about everything with a nose bigger than his ego. And who could forget the Frycook? Well Krabs was unsuccessful in getting a good fry cook for a couple of years, he found a guy who was great at his job but asked for extra pay…so the Krusty Krab was left without a proper frycook for a while. That was until an energetic sponge came in and proved himself to be an incredible frycook. SpongeBob alone made the Krusty Krab more popular than ever, and soon it became the greatest eating establishment in all of eating…and it made a whole lotta MONEY.

Of course with success, comes with someone who will do anything to see uou fail. Plankton had moved across the street of Mr Krabs, making his own restaurant named the Chum Bucket. Plankton wanted nothing but to see Krabs absolutely fail and lose the success of his restaurant, and to do that, he would constantly attempt to steal Krabs' formula. However Krabs would always stop his old friend from stealing his precious secret formula to the Krusty Krabs' success, and this would start an insanely long and petty rivalry. Sometimes Krabs did miss the times where he and Plankton were best friends…sometimes…most of his mind is filled with thoughts of MONEY. All Krabs could think about was all the money he was getting from his success, he'd gladly give up anything with all the money he's earned. You and everyone else may call him scummy, greedy, and especially cheap, but Mr. Krabs doesn't care! He not only lets those words define him, but they're absolutely the badges he adores…especially if they're covered in gold.

Captain K'Nuckles

“Flapjack.. Flapjack! Come with me! We'll go and see, a place called Candied Island!"

The seas are filled with infinite possibilities, whether you're surviving its dangers or adventuring through the vast ocean, there's nothing you can't do. Those who explore the seas for fun are usually called crazy, but we call them Adventurers, and one of the CRAZIEST ones is a washed up sailor named Captain K'Nuckles. The scourge of the sea. The terror of the tidal waters! K'nuckles is an unstoppable sea-scoundrel who claims to be the greatest pirate the world has ever known. But to the residents of Stormalong Harbor and enemies across the ocean, he's just a crooked bum and a compulsive liar. Back in the ye old days, K’Nuckles grew up as a child who wanted to venture throughout the world and be a sailor, but judgement came from everywhere around him.

He was always pushed around by those much bigger than him, especially the sailors he looked up to. To prove himself, K’Nuckles would join a crew and live his dream as the crew's…cabin boy. He was still being picked on by others, especially for being a naive idiot, but he finally got what he wanted and got his Captain papers! Or so he thought, he actually failed the Captain test multiple times, and took it so personally he accidentally sunk the entire ship. He just kinda…blocked the entire experience out of his memory. Fully believing he was a captain, K’Nuckles would venture through the seas and attempt to be a real adventurer. He would lose his hands to a blending accident, lose his ass and legs, and join the navy as a real sailor....even if he made things worse for everyone else. Many things happened to K’Nuckles, for better or for worse, but K’Nuckles ended up finding one of the greatest discoveries in his lifetime…candy.

K’Nuckles became OBSESSED with candy, it was all he could think of, eat, love…candy was his entire life. Soon, K’Nuckles would learn of a legend, of a perfect island made of candy…a place called Candied Island. One day however, things changed for this washed up sailor. After being caught up in a shipwreck, K’Nuckles was saved by a whale named Bubbie and her energetic son named Flapjack. Captain K'Nuckles’ tall tales tangled up Flapjack's head like a squid in a silly string factory, consuming him with an ultimate desire for adventure and adventuring the seas. Although Bubbie, who was Flapjack's mother figure, tried protecting him from this weird stranger. Fortunately, Flapjack would do anything to win the approval of K'nuckles; even if it means getting himself into a lot of trouble with his captain.

K’Nuckles made Flapjack want to follow his plot of finding candied island, he too wanted to be in a land full of sweet and delicious candy. Their very dedicated pursuit to find this mysterious island usually leads them back to the same old dock town of Stormalong Harbor; an island built on stilts in the middle of the open sea. This sea community is like home to them, and its usually non-adventurous residents hold clues to Candied Island's mysteries. Here Flapjack & K'nuckles work or scheme at the dock to steal candy from trash cans, acquire supplies, and get into mischief. Now Bubbie may insist to Flapjack that K’Nuckle's is a no-good criminal. He's dishonest, dangerous, and his reckless hijinks could end up costing them their lives…and they almost have. But Flapjack loves him just the same, which ultimately makes K’Nuckles conflicted.

Sure Candied Island was always at the front of K’Nuckles' mind, but we also see that there may be something that he craves even more than candy; the adoration of Flapjack. Although K'nuckles claims not to have any tender feelings for Flapjack, his actions and consistent care for him says otherwise. He needs Flapjack, because he's the only person in the world who doesn't see him as a worthless bum. In the end, K’Nuckles explored many islands, went on many adventures, and had a true family despite the differences. K’Nuckles even officially earned his Captain papers and became a real captain, in the end he got everything he could've wanted before. Will they ever find Candied Island? Is it even real? Who knows, but what we do know is that K’Nuckles and Flapjack will adventure through the end as long as the seas are vast and full of infinite possibilities..

Skill and Experience

Mr. Krabs

Mr. Krabs is a very experienced businessman, he's been in the industry and working for his success for many many years. So much so, Mr Krabs is in his late 50s - early 60s, some sources say he's in his 80s but SpongeBob characters don't really like..age…SpongeBob is still only in his 20s right now. Krabs is a pretty good business, he's taken up business opportunities that could easily make him a lot of money. And he's quite the tricky bastard, one time tricking SpongeBob badly just to teach him a lesson. He's quite good at bargaining and making deals to get what he wants

He's also quite athletic, considering the fact he's participated in the Frycook games, an Olympic-type course where you test your Frycook skills with physical challenges, which Krabs has won before. He's also pretty good at physical combat considering he's defeated a hoard of undead fish, battled people for years as a pirate, and could even beat enemy pirates with just a telescope. And of course, he can consistently outsmart Plankton. He's figured out many of plankton's tricks, tricked Plankton into temporarily running away, and has made even more convoluted plans to outsmart Plankton.

Captain K'Nuckles

Now the guy may not be the greatest adventurer, and many of his stories are fabricated and made out to make him look cooler…idk where I was going with this. K’Nuckles has still been through a lot in his long life, and he's got a few tricks up his sleeve! K'Nuckles overall is in his 40s - 50s and was raised by pirates and sailors, and he has been in the Navy which does give him some good experience. Sure he may not be very book smart, but K’Nuckles has experience with outsmarting people with unpredictability and his own personal skill alone. The guy is constantly known for using his wit and confidence in tricking naive people like Flapjack into doing things for him, and for free nonetheless.

Yeah he's pretty consistently a tricky bastard, even if sometimes he himself is easy to fool. He's also a really good craftsman, not only has he built boats and rafts before, he also made his own wooden prosthetics with only one hand and an axe. And while he may seem very beat up, it turns out the guy is actually insanely ripped. He's also a decently quick thinker, and has thought up plots to get him and Flapjack out of sticky situations, or straight up trick an entire group of people and make them give up candy so he could eat it all. He could also fight a deer in an antler fight, and defeat 100 pirates that would take over all of Stormalong Harbor.

Arsenal

Mr. Krabs

Money

Krabs loves money, money is practically his life and gives him his everyday motivation. He loves money so much, simply smelling a dollar can wake him up after being passed out. They even become wings that allow him to fly from hearing a big money opportunity.

Krabby Patty

If anyone should have access to the 2nd wonder of the world, of course it should be Mr Krabs, after all he was the one who made it in the first place. Not only can he just pop it out from his pocket, he always has the ingredients to the Krabby Patty with him. These patties are so absolutely delicious that they can bring you back to life, make you addicted to them, and being so pure that they could save people from mind control. Aside from normal patties, he also has trick patties with traps, like explosive patties, jellyfish patties, bear trap patties, and even firework patties.

Krabby Patty Formula

The secret to the Krabby Patties' deliciousness and success, the one thing Plankton wants more than anything, and the thing that basically runs the world..no I seriously mean that..it runs the planet.. without it everything would become apocalyptic. What's the secret to the goodness of this delectable fast food establishment? We may never know…

Spyglass

Every good sailor needs a spyglass in order to look out for oncoming danger on sea, or in this case..look out for dirty traitors.

Patty Bell

Using this bell, it would make anyone hungry enough to crave a Krabby Patty from its ring so they could buy more from him. However it doesn't always work, being ineffective on people who just didn't care.

Disguises

Krabs has a surprisingly consistent love for disguises, like disguising himself here in order to steal a bunch of random things, or disguising himself as Plankton…somehow.

Flamethrower

Y'know this may seem like an out of character moment, considering he'd never waste a patty...this must've really freaked him out I guess.

Nasty Patty

After finding out that their food inspector was possibly a fake, Krabs and SpongeBob would make a patty so nasty and terrible, it would greatly sicken the fake health inspector…however…turns out it was the real health inspector.

Spear

Krabs had to fake being a true pirate again to please his grandfather, so he got the right equipment to do so, like a spear.

Swordfish Sword

Yeah he uh…he's basically using the skull of a dead fish to fight other dead fish…Krabs is fucked up isn't he…

Clamfishing Equipment

To capture a large clam named blue lips, Krabs got a bunch of clamfishing equipment to capture it, such as nets, fishing rods, and a spear.

Anti-Ghost Equipment

Krabs said he wasn't afraid of ghosts, just in case, he would put together a suit that would protect him from ghosts..how exactly? I don't know…

Growth Serum

This serum was given to Krabs by Sandy so he could sell bigger patties, however he poured all of it on one patty. This caused the patty to become so big, it destroyed entire buildings.

Mallet

They say great art comes from anything, in this case, Krabs tried making something more…. abstract? Just to get more money.

Sponge Patty

In order to capitalize on SpongeBobs popularity and love, Krabs made sponge patties that did a lot more harm than good. After eating one of these sponge patties, you would turn yellow and sponge-like, and become very disoriented.

Artificial Patty

Developed by Sandy as an easy way to make Krabby Patties, Mr Krabs attempted to sell these until they turned out to be dangerous. After eating these, you would be transformed into a hideous Krabby Patty mutant.

Cannons

These are not regular cannons, first a vacuum sucks up random customers in the Krusty Krab, then it shoots them out as projectiles.

Ball and Chain

I'm guessing he just had this weapon on hand, but he used it to destroy the fake ship he made for his grandfather.

Soul Vacuum

With this random ass vacuum, Krabs could raise the souls from the dead so they could aid him in battle. Here he summons the souls of his ancestors to fight with him, although they did not want to work with him lol.

Misc.

Krabs has a bunch of random weapons on hand, just by this shot of his room he has rope, spears, hooks, paddles and mini anchors. Even from his pocket he has a sword, a bat, an axe and a spiked bat and etc.

Plankton's Robotic Revenge Guns

Plankton was up to his old tricks, he was planning to finally destroy Krabs once and for all by bringing out all of the robot artillery. Thankfully, Krabs and his pals were going to stop him, using these really cool guns!

All-Star Brawl Items

In the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl games, characters can acquire items that help them in battle, they basically act as a game mechanic. Krabs of course has access to these items.

  • Anchor - A standard-sized anchor, ideal for a good ol’ Anchor Toss Competition. It’s thrown upwards before crashing back down to the ground; dealing high damage and knockback to opponents in the way.

  • Arnold's Boombox - When picked up, it explodes after a short amount of time; dealing heavy damage and knockback to all fighters in its range.

  • Tommy’s Ball - Once thrown, it stops in place after moving a short distance; acting as a bumper that hits away all fighters who touch it. It also reflects projectiles and other thrown items.

  • LOG FROM BLAMMO - Once hit or thrown, the log rolls along the ground infinitely until it hits a wall or falls off the stage. It damages anyone in its path, including whoever threw or hit it. It can roll on its side or bounce on its ends.

  • Guidance Chip - Guides the Irken Fleet to your location and they’ll obliterate your foes for you! When thrown, an Irken ship will pass over the top of the screen and rain down lasers around where the chip lands; damaging any opponents in the way.

  • Krabby Patty - When picked up, the Krabby Patty heals a small amount of your health. It is the only item that cannot be thrown.

  • Trash can - Functions almost identically like the LOG FROM BLAMMO, but it leaves behind piles of damaging goop similar to the one seen in Oblina’s mid special.

  • Squidward’s Clarinet - When held, the clarinet rapidly shoots out projectiles that move across the screen while bobbing up and down. Each bubble deals damage to enemies upon contact.

  • Sokka’s Boomerang - When thrown, the boomerang will home in towards whoever threw it; damaging any opponents in the way before it disappears.

  • Reptar Toy Car - When thrown, the car will move back and forth on whatever platform it landed on; damaging anyone in the way (including whoever threw it).

  • The Suck-o-Matic - When thrown, it will suck in any fighters or items towards itself for a short time. It can be destroyed while it is active by attacking it. When it’s not active, hitting it will merely push it around.

  • Sandy’s Rocket - When thrown, it will home in on the nearest opponent to deal a significant amount of damage and knockback. However, its homing capabilities are limited. If it’s thrown upwards when the nearest opponent is horizontal from you, for example, it won’t home in on the opponent.

  • Fenton Thermos - When thrown, it will release 9 damaging ghosts from where it lands that float upwards.

  • Lawn Gnome - When thrown, it will attach itself a set distance away from you with an electric stream, which repeatedly damages any opponents who cross it.

  • Explosive Pie - It acts as a mine when thrown; exploding when a fighter steps on it (including whoever threw it) or if it’s hit by a projectile

  • Jellyfish Jelly - When thrown, a group of 5 jellyfish are summoned that form a line and float around where the jelly landed in either a circle pattern or an ♾️ pattern. Any opponents in their path are damaged.

Captain K'Nuckles

Sweets

Candy is his biggest obsession, there's a reason he's an Alcoholic/Diabetic allegory, this man cannot get enough of those sweet sweet sweets. He usually carries a bottle of Maple Syrup on him which is an obvious reference, he likes to carry candies nearby in case he needs it to “rejuvenate" and will do absolutely ANYTHING to get candy, he will accomplish almost any task to get as much candy as possible.

Prosthetic Limbs

While it may seem surprising considering his…reputation. K’Nuckles actually built his wooden limbs with his own two…er…one hand! And while yes, they're just wooden limbs, he still uses them everyday for practical and normal use. His hand could even move on its own for some reason…

Throwin’ Candy

In order to take a rat to plague Island, K’Nuckles and Flapjack had to go through multiple islands and take down a bunch of pirates! To do that, K’Nuckles just had to throw a..bunch of candy at them! K’Nuckles can throw basically an infinite amount of candy. K’Nuckles also has explosive candy, giant candy, giant explosive candy, and a stinky candy; which melts anything surrounding it, including entire platforms. Those last 3 however are more limited in usage, and can only be used once each level.

Periscope

In order to look out and see if any nearby ship is attacking or following, K’Nuckles has a periscope to watch out for any incoming danger!

Spyglass

Like any classy pirate or sailor would have, K’Nuckles has a spyglass that allows him to search for anything in a far radius, like candied island for example!

Pirate Sword

Swords are cool, and..he uses them. What kind of commentary do you want me to use? It's a sword.

Pointing Sword

Hahaha, get it?? Pointing Sword?? This may just seem like a weird prop with a large hand on it, but take off the hand and it's a real sword!

Candy Cane

Would ya’ look at that, a candy cane that can be used as a fencing weapon, given to Captain K’Nuckles! I'm sure nothing will go wrong..

Snark Disguise

In order to save bubbie from some “Whalor Snarks” who they believed eat Whales, K’Nuckles and Flapjack disguised as Snarks in order to find her..until they found out they were “Jailor Snarks."

Fish Suit

In a plot to find candied island with ease, K’Nuckles disguised himself as a fish in order to sneak on this ship that was headed to it…it uh..it wasn't candied island.

Fishing Rod

Fishin’ for riches may sometimes feel overwhelming and tired, that's why you have to…really go fishing..

Screwdriver

Screw driver? I don't know why I'd do that.

Glass Lens

A large piece of glass that looks pretty cool, but could also be used to redirect sunlight and burn you realllll good.

Axe

While he does use the axe to carve a new wooden hand, he also uses it to chop his hand off…somehow…because he accidentally made the wrong hand in his first attempt.

Frying Pan

If you've ever watched Tangled, then you know this is a truly dangerous weapon…

Scuba Equipment

For an underwater adventure, you need underwater gear! Just make sure there's no holes or gaps or anything or you'll probably die…

Snowballs

K’Nuckles and other players in the snowball tournament can throw snowballs of all kinds, normal snow balls, giant snow balls, and can even throw multiple snowballs at once. These aren't normal snowballs, with enough thrown at someone, it can turn them into a snowman.

1,000 Pieces of Candy

Yes, the drink is very much literal, this drink contains 1,000 pieces of candy..which is of course..a lot. So much, it can basically make you trip balls, imagine things surrounding you, and instantly knock you out. K’Nuckles drank so much of it, he basically started resisting its effects

Revivin' Tonic

When he wanted to fake his own death so Flapjack would leave him alone, he was hypnotized into a lifeless state so it seemed like he was dead. But using revivin' tonic, he would've been brought back to life and skipped town. However later it was revealed after Flapjack's tears brought him to life, that the tonic is actually filled with Guardian angel tears, so they actually would bring him back to life.

Giant Legs

By replacing his legs with new legs he found on an island (I guess K’Nuckles can just replace his limbs with other limbs when he wants), he proceeded to walk along the harbor with gigantic legs that he used to cause more havoc than ever.

Mermaid Heart

K’Nuckles this mcguffin from a mermaid because..well it's her heart, he stole her heart. The Mermaid Heart may look like it only contains some candy, those are actually mermaid tears, and they're able to grant wishes! For every wish you make with the mermaid heart, a candy will be eaten by the one who made the wish, and there are a LOT of candies in this heart; so much so it lasted the entire day. With its wishes, you could turn any object into gold, make limbs enlarged and muscular, summon monsters or enemies and also BFR them away, turn people into animals, teleport any object anywhere, influence people's actions, and just summon whatever you really want. Yeah you may assume he'd only use it for stupid reasons, but he only used it for random shiz because he was by himself and had all the time, and it turns out he was the only one who used it correctly.

Punch Time Explosion Items

An item is an object that is spawned either at random or through some sort of mechanic or trigger. Most items can be interacted with by pressing the grab/throw button and usually change the way a character plays or enhances the character in some way. Of course K’Nuckles can use these items very well…

Throwing Items

These are items that can be tossed with grab/attack. Damage is listed. Many times they disappear after hitting or being thrown and are characterized by having a low life span.

  • Beaker (Dexter) - 12%

    • The character hit by this item will go into dizzy status.

  • Dodge Ball (General) - 20%

  • Tentacle Bomb - 19%

  • Pinata (Foster's Home) - 11%

    • This is the star thing.

  • Rainbow Monkey (Kids Next Door) - 8%

    • Causes the rainbow monkey status effect. This slows down the walk and run speed, and causes the effected player to skip instead.

  • Coco Egg (Foster's Home) - 6%

    • Spawns another item when it lands after being thrown. At rare instances this will fail and no item will appear.

  • Elephant Toy (Dexter) - 5%

    • The screen goes "girly" and gains a distorting pink tint for a while.

Interactive Items

These are items that indirectly interact with the player or environment. The player does not heal, throw, or wield these items. Sometimes, the player can not pick them up at all and the item activates automatically. Damage dealt is listed.

  • Assists - Assists, while separated from items on the menu, do count internally as an item. These will summon a random assist character and gives access to synergy attacks.

  • Mine - 50%

    • A mine trap that explodes after a certain amount of time. As long as there are no walls in the way, this usually always guarantees a kill if it hits.

Vehicles

Mr. Krabs

Boat

Almost every fish and crustacean have a boat in the sea, they basically act as cars.

Small Ship

Krabs tried to find buried treasure using a treasure map from a board game, so he made a small ship to try and find it.

Spy Truck

Crazy story, Krabs once got insanely obsessive with SpongeBob because he found a penny..and Krabs became obsessed with trying to claim the penny. He would use this to spy on SpongeBob in his house.

Old Ship

As I have mentioned many times, Krabs used to be a very good pirate, this came with a very cool ship he used to traverse through the seas.

Krusty Krab

As the owner of the restaurant, of course he should be given the entire thing. However what most people don't know about it, is that it can turn into a moving vehicle. Along with being able to shoot large ice cream cones and large scoops of Ice Cream.

Captain K'Nuckles

Trolley

K’Nuckles took control of this trolley in order to make it go faster so they could reach home already, unfortunately it went insanely out of control as you can see..

S.S Fortune

He asked for a new ship, he didn't say it had to be a really good one…that wouldn't fall apart really easily..

Raft

Being lost at sea is one thing, being lost at sea because Flapjack basically kidnapped you is another…

Mini-Ship

Thanks to the help of Cammie, this large grotesque creature, K’Nuckles and Flapjack were able to quickly escape from Cammie Island.

Misc. Ship

Originally belonging to Stormalong newspaper writers, K’Nuckles and the crew used this ship to hunt down Eight Armed Willy and capture him. And for some reason, K’Nuckles was good at steering it? The ship also comes with spears attached to rope, which can be used for attacking large opponents.

Abilities

Mr. Krabs

Crab Physiology

Mr Krabs is your average underwater crab, and as a crab he has certain characteristics that may aid him in battle. His nose has such a good sense of smell, he could smell “laziness" for up to 10,000 leagues, or about 30,000 miles. Krabs of course has his pinchers, which are very strong and are capable of pinching through multiple enemies, and he has his iron gut which is strong enough to disintegrate the arm of anyone weak enough, and could even pinch off the head of a robot baby.

Elasticity

Krabs has the ability to stretch portions of his body, mainly his eyes as seen above in order to watch closely. He could even stretch his eyes and use them as a jump rope, and also enlarge them.

Transmutation

Yeah he just, turned a bunch of Krabby patties into Pizza...even changing the plates the patties were on. It's transmutation yeah but it's not the most impressive transmutation ability.

Regeneration

Krabs has some decently good regeneration, as seen above, even after having both of his legs broken off he could walk the next day completely fine. Krabs could also resist having his arms fall off, he's actually had them fall off a very good amount of times. He could also survive having his whole body fall apart (he survives this a couple of times), keep moving without the bottom half of his body, can regenerate a new head if he loses one, regenerate his body parts disintegrating, even his bones disintegrating, his body being shredded into bits, and can regenerate from dust. Although we've seen Krabs being incapacitated by his injuries a couple of times.

Surface Breathing

Despite being a sea critter, Krabs can actually survive walking onto the surface completely fine without gasping for air or anything. And this is consistent, Krabs can even enter Sandy's tree dome because he states that as long as his lungs are moist he could breath air all day long.

Memory Manipulation

Krabs was able to remove a customer's memory of the movie he just watched, it's not that useful in most scenarios but still really funny.

Teleportation

Whenever Krabs heard the sound of something being free, he instantly teleported to Larry's gym to hear out the free opportunity.

Fire Manipulation

Krabs is very prone to anger, sometimes he becomes so angry that he not only becomes engulfed in flames, he straight up turns into flames and disintegrates.

Shapeshifting

Krabs has the consistent ability to shapeshift, especially based on his reaction to Money. He can turn his insides into money, turn his eyes into hands, turn his eyes into lightbulbs, turn his head into a cold coin, and even turn into a realistic crab on a platter.

Subjective Reality

For some reason Krabs has the consistent ability to just, show up in people's thoughts. No seriously, SpongeBob thinks of him and Krabs exits his thoughts and enters the real world. And he could just summon himself in SpongeBobs thoughts and physically interact with him.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Moveset

Mr. Krabs in All-Star Brawl is a heavyweight with considerable power and range, but he's initially very lacking in speed. However, collecting money increases his speed and enhances his specials; making him much more dangerous when his meter is filled. Getting to that point can be difficult though, as his opponents can take his money before he does and exploit his weak recovery to deplete the money he's already collected.

Special Attacks

At level 2, an additional silver coin burst follows it. And at level 3, a final gold coin burst is added. Has considerable endlag, but is great for keeping opponents at bay. DAMAGE: 7 (Bag), 4 (Coin Bursts 1-3)

  • Tallyho!/Back to Oblivion!/Playtime's Over! (Side) - Mr. Krabs strikes with a swordfish's head. Tallyho (Level 1) stabs forward once, Back to Oblivion (Level 2) chains into two upward strikes to start combos, and Playtime's Over (Level 3) ends with a spinning multihit strike with large knockback, but large endlag. DAMAGE: 6 (LV1), 6 (LV2, Hits 1-3), 1 (LV3 Hits 4-17) 5 (LV3 Hit 18)

  • Fishing Trip (Up) - Mr. Krabs casts a fishing line forward; grabbing and throwing any opponent caught in the hook. In the air, this becomes a tether recovery, which can also deal slight knockback to any aerial opponents. At Level 3, he also summons a floating shopping list the ghost of Smitty Werbenjaegermanjensen at the point of impact (ground only) to burn any opponents near it and make them drop even more money. Knockback also increases for each level, with Level 3 having a ton of knockback and increased range. DAMAGE: 9 (LV1 and LV2), 10 (LV3), 2 (LV3 Smitty per hit)

  • Gold Rush (Down) - Mr. Krabs digs for a gold bar when on the ground, which can be picked up to fill an entire section's worth of the meter. However, it has a long cooldown period even when the move is interrupted before the bar can be dug out. In the air, he instead slams the shovel downward as a spike attack. When the meter is completely filled, the aerial version instead uses his first dime, which is his most powerful attack. The meter is also completely expended after using this move. DAMAGE: None (Dig), 8 (LV1 Shovel), 9 (LV2 Shovel), 12 (LV3 Shovel) 15 (Dime)

Captain K'Nuckles

Bad Breath

They say an adventurer never brushes his teeth (or well, that's what K’Nuckles says..), that's why K’Nuckles has never brushed his teeth in his entire life! This makes his breath absolutely horrid, he could somehow physically interact with you by just letting his breath out, and it's so gross it could deconstruct nearby objects.

Flight

Context? Funny that you think there is any! He just flies because he feels like it. This isn't even the only instance of this, he once turned so mad he became a living jetpack and launched himself onto bubbies back.

Regeneration

Yeesh…that's..an image. But yes a lot of Chowder characters are known to take a disgustingly large amount of damage, as seen above. But the next scene right after shows them being completely fine, which means they have some pretty good regeneration. This isn't K’Nuckles’ only really good instance of regen, not only can he survive as just a pair of eyeballs, but he can regenerate from it considering he's fine next episode. And this happens AGAIN when his entire body explodes to where you can't see anything remaining, and all that's left are his eyes. He could also regenerate from his head being blown off, regenerated his entire body being blown up by electricity twice, states he loses his body parts all the time but could put himself back together, states he has a hole in his heart, can regenerate from Dust, and can resist his brain exploding

Elasticity

Like most toon-esq characters in cartoons, K’Nuckles is capable of stretching most parts of his body, like his nose. He's also surprisingly maleable, and has been forcefully stretched and squished many times, and he could even stretch his limbs into great lengths.

Self-Explosion

By becoming so unbelievably angry, K’Nuckles was able to detonate himself and create an explosion that blew his entire head off.

Darkness Manipulation

By pulling on his nose? K’Nuckles could turn physical light off, actually replicating a light switch.

“West"

There's a very very old sailor legend that went around, and that was to never speak about the worst direction in the sea…the WEST. The West was so cursed, that anytime you would say the name "West”, something weird would happen. For example, everytime you would say the cursed name, a random sea weirdo or creature would just show up right next to you, it could even summon a vicious sea monster.

Storytellin’

You see, storytelling in Chowder is different from any normal storytelling, it feels far more real. As long as you and the person listening to the story closes your eyes, you'll feel like you're actually in the story. Or course being the storyteller, you can change anything about the story you're telling. Whether it's the location, the weather, the aesthetic, and you can of course add anything you want like monsters or other creatures…yeah it's literally using your imagination in your own head but someone else is a victim of it. And the listener can't really change anything about the story, everything that happens can only be changed by the storyteller.

However what's different here is that the things that are imagined can actually physically interact with people in the story, and if we take that further than things in the story can be transmuted by tickles. Finally, the story itself and everything in it can't end unless there's an ending, and simply saying “and they lived unhappily ever after" won't work, the story must actually end.

Punch Time Explosion Moveset

In Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL, K'nuckles is an unlockable character, unlocked by winning 3 matches or completing Flapjack 2 in story mode. His in-game bio states that K'nuckles has a very useful set of signature moves. K'nuckles is a unique character built around closing in on opponents and overall just screwing them over…

Normal Attacks

  • Neutral - K'nuckles punches with his right arm (3%), uppercuts with his left (3%), and punches further with his right arm (5%, creates 1 power cube)

  • Running - K'nuckles stumbles around like a mess, putting him at quite a far distance. Deals 9% and creates 2 power cubes.

  • Up - K'nuckles uppercuts two times with his left arm, each dealing 9%, creating 2 power cubes.

  • Down - K'nuckles kicks forward with his left leg. Deals 8% and creates 2 power cubes.

  • Throw - K'nuckles reaches out with both arms. Deals 7% when thrown.

Knockout Attacks

  • Side - K'nuckles punches forward with his right arm. Deals 18%~26% uncharged~charged. Creates 4 power cubes.

  • Up - K'nuckles claps both hands above him. Deals 17%~25% uncharged~charged. Creates 4 power cubes. Very good startup frame data, meaning it can be used as a reversal/while in a bad situation. Can also multi-hit bosses, making it valuable at erasing boss health bars quickly in Story Mode, similar to Father Up knockout attack.

  • Down - K'nuckles spins around on the ground, sticking his limbs outward. Deals instantaneous damage of around 1%~2% per hit for a full 21%~31% uncharged~charged.

Aerial Attacks

  • Neutral - K'nuckles spins around like a maniac, sticking every wooden limb outwards horizontally. Deals 6% per hit and creates 1 power cube per hit.

  • Side - K'nuckles punches forward with his right arm. Deals 12% and creates 3 power cubes.

  • Up - K'nuckles spins around like a maniac, sticking every wooden limb outwards vertically. Deals 7% per hit and creates 1 power cube per hit.

  • Down - K'nuckles places himself upside down and starts spinning, increasing his downward momentum and hitting anyone in contact. Deals 11% and creates 2 power cubes.

Signature Attacks

  • Neutral (Sandman Decoy) - K'nuckles, while stepping back, creates a sand decoy in his previous location.

    • If the decoy makes contact it inflicts dizzy status.

    • Only a maximum of two decoys is allowed at a time.

    • Can be used to stall in the air, though not as effectively as Dexter or Hoss Delgado's down air.

    • Capable of momentum resetting for infinite jumps or magic shifting.

  • Side (Drill Rush) - K'nuckles starts spinning forward like his down air, but slower. Deals 10% and creates 2 power cubes. Puts K'nuckles in freefall.

    • One of the easiest moves to use to break through projectile spam.

  • Up (Tornado Spin) - K'nuckles starts spinning diagonally upward, similar to his side signautre and down air. Deals 15% and creates 4 power cubes. Puts K'nuckles in freefall.

  • Down (Sittin' Muscle Smash) - K'nuckles leaps up, even in air, and does a butt bounce move, forcing him downward. K'nuckles himself deals 9%. The impact and dust deals 10% and creates 2 power cubes.

Punch Time Explosion!

K’Nuckles sees a barrel full of sweets/candy and he looks in and there are no sweets/candy. Then he gets angry and falls in and then he makes the barrel explode, doing 50% damage to foes, creating 4 power cubes. Enemies nearby are put in dizzy status before the barrel explodes.

Synergy Attack

Stickybeard gives K'nuckles a bunch of cannons, and then Stickybeard jumps on the cannons while shooting cannonballs which lets K’Nuckles launch a huge barrage of projectiles.

Forms

Mr. Krabs

Captain Tightwad

In order to stop SpongeBob and Patrick from committing mischief during their mermaid man and barnacle boy roleplays, he made Squidward join him to act as their arch rivals. Krabs became Captain Tightwad, and could use golden coins as throwable weapons.

Sir Pinch-a-Lot

Thanks to SpongeBob giving him this transformation from the magic page, Mr Krabs became a living machine that could fly and rocket boost, and even shoot his claw hands like they were rockets. And while he lost this at the end of the movie, in the game he could unlock this form by collecting enough superhero energy.

Captain K'Nuckles

“True" Form

When K’Nuckles wished to be transformed back to "Normal” this is what he transformed into, suggesting that this is what he truly looks like.

Merman Form

After catching the "Fish Flu” by being around too many fish, K’Nuckles turned into mermen that could swim and breathe underwater..that was until…

Fish Form

…they took their shirts off and just..turned into fish? What? How did that..eh I'll talk about it later.

Human Form

They say if you eat too much candy, you'll turn into something weird..and that's exactly what happened! They drank another round of 1,000 pieces of candy and it made them turn into normal humans..weird.

Resistances

Mr. Krabs

Captain K'Nuckles

Mr. Krabs

  • Constantly stops Plankton from stealing the Krabby Patty formula and taking over the world.

  • Was an actual pirate who went on many crazy adventures and claimed lots of riches on the way

Strength

Strength

Speed

Durability

Scaling

Mr. Krabs

The Whippersnappers of Bikini Bottom (and more)

Captain K'Nuckles

The Whippersnappers of Stormalong Harbor

Weaknesses

Mr. Krabs

To be expected, Mr Krabs is a VERY greedy man, and he always lets his greed control his actions and responses. He cannot stand the thought of losing money, so much so he'll bargain and beg for a way to get money back. Even in the face of danger, Krabs would rather he and everyone else get clocked out as long as his money is safe. He will give anything or anyone up for even a couple of cents, will get easily tricked by money because he states he would never distrust a dollar, and has stated that he would gladly give up everything for the money that he's earned.

Krabs is just overall a very very greedy man whose greed can very consistently cost him and even get him in trouble. Sometimes risking absolute danger and near death just because there's money on the line. One time he got tricked into marrying Plankton because he made a robot that disguised him as a female dollar bill. It was so effective, that Mr Krabs was about to actually give him the secret formula into which the robot broke down from over exposure to moisture by his tears….ouch.

Captain K'Nuckles

It's simple really, he's an idiot, an absolute idiot. Sure the guy's got good experience and tricks up his sleeve, but he's not book smart at the slightest. He not only didn't know the difference between left and right (although he learned eventually, but still insanely stupid), he also doesn't know basic sailor knowledge and doesn't even know what 2+2 is. We of course also have to mention his absolutely insane addiction to candy, It can reallyyy mess him up when he needs to focus.

He can end up being so distracted by so much candy, he'll knock out from pure overstimulation and be asleep for days. Candy can influence him so much that Flapjack was able to make him do any command by just giving him candy, and he'll be fine with it. Even eating too much candy will simply drive him insane, developing a mental illness that makes him even MORE obsessed with candy than before. And at his worst, K’Nuckles is very lazy and unfit, not even being capable of doing a push-up or keeping his weight loss routine.

Before the verdict

Does Krabs really scale to the main cast?

Short answer:

Yes.

Answer that's a little bit longer:

Krabs very consistently scales to the main cast by just…directly fighting them lol.

He directly scales to Squidward who can fight against Patrick and broke SpongeBob into pieces with one blow, and was able to resist strikes from Sandy who very blatantly scales to SpongeBob as she can consistently defeat him in Karate. Krabs can not only overpower Patrick in a physical conflict, he could also fight SpongeBob along with other fish in the mix. He could even survive a powered attack between SpongeBob, Mermaid Man, and Barnacle Boy together. Even casual normal fish that are basically normal civilians could outrun SpongeBob doing cosmic unimaginable feats. And Krabs should of course upscale to Plankton, they've had their even battles but most of the time Krabs has the physical advantage. But even Plankton's robot creations, which are a constant danger to everyone in Bikini Bottom, can be defeated by SpongeBob and the gang, Krabs included. No matter how you put it, Krabs should absolutely scale to the main cast.

SpongeBob Cosmology (again…)

Yeah y'all have heard all of this many times so I will keep it a bit short. I suggest y'all read the Squidward vs Benson blog as it goes over the Cosmology of SpongeBob very well in comparison to my half assed explanation lmaoo. Now SpongeBob has a really consistent amount of parallel universes. The Patrick Star show itself is a parallel universe that contains alternate timelines as a result of weird universal intersections. However certain changes made to a timeline can in return, create a new timeline based on that change. This is what happened when a future version of Sandy contacted her past self in order to preserve the future, but this in turn caused a weird dispatch in time that ended up creating infinite timelines and universes based off of one manipulated event. Changes in the time is a very slippery and fragile thing, almost anything can affect everything. Such as when Squidward broke this time machine, causing an event that created an entire space-time continuum, which contained many many timelines that ended up becoming a part of the main universe. It's even stated by the narrator that the Patrick Star show is the perfect example of the catastrophe that comes with combining multiple universes into one. It's pretty consistent that the idea of infinite timelines or infinite universes is a major part of the SpongeBob Cosmology. SpongeBob as a Cosmology has multiple universes that contain infinite timelines, equating to infinite universes of course. But what about the main SpongeBob universe? It's obvious that the Patrick Star show and Kamp Koral are parallel universes that are considered different from most because of their insane space-time events and how their universes work, they relatively work a lot more chaotically than the main universe.

The main show does have parallel universes in the form of mirrors, it's pretty consistent that most mirrors in SpongeBob contain a parallel universe, although you can argue it not being entirely true since SpongeBob considers it an untrue concept, while Patrick claimed to have created an alternate universe himself. It'd be weird considering how many times SpongeBob has confronted this concept himself, although it happens so much it might just be him being oblivious. And Patrick's statement and a wiki description is our only commentary on that. After all, I have looked into this exact same concept in the form of Smurfs, but that's a discussion for another day. The main universe does already have infinite universes funnily enough, in the form of a comic pretty blatantly confirming that SpongeBob has infinite universes. And it's very easy to argue that SpongeBob can scale to these infinite universes considering the fact that using just a piece of string, he could destroy his entire universe as a whole, and lots of characters have survived universal events. Of course that might not be enough for people, at least it might not be enough to argue that the cast scales to absolutely everything. Mirror feats in my experience are a bit hard to argue for, mirrors even in SpongeBob can be easily broken on the outside, that is because the other side of the mirror can be easily affected by the outside due to outside force, it doesn't really make it impressive much. The real feats come from surviving the destruction of mirrors while INSIDE the mirror, again from my experience. And you could maybe argue that the infinite universes in the main universe aren't the same thing, since nothing implied that the main SpongeBob contained these other worlds, in fact it's apparent that these are completely parallel. It's clear that these characters can get to the universal scale, but can Multiversal be attained?

Well duh, I'm making the same argument other people have already made, but I'll still explain why because I kinda have to. First of all there's Cosmic Jelly, Cosmic Jelly is considered the substance of the universe, an essence that holds everything together into one; we even know that Cosmic Jelly can affect parallel universes which is a very good sign here. It can not only rip apart said parallel universes and the main universe, it could tamper with the space and time between a variety of alternate universes. Of course it's easy to argue that the SpongeBob cast scales to this considering the fact SpongeBob himself fights the main villain that weaponizes this cosmic jelly. And it's easier to say that Cosmic Jelly should affect the Patrick Star show and Kamp Koral universes considering the fact they should already work similarly to the main universe. Said alternate universe versions can survive their own universal destruction after all, why wouldn't you scale the characters to themselves? But is that really enough? Is that enough to scale the cast to absolutely everything? Well yes, but I bring you the EASIEST way to argue for the cast scaling to not just their own universes, but every other one as well. I will talk about something no other blog has talked about..yes I lied…I'm bringing up my OWN arguments!! Muahaha!! So what will I bring up? I'll bring up a certain phenomenon called….

The Tidal Zone

Now for a bit of extra context, the 3 universes; the Main SpongeBob show, the Patrick Star show, and Kamp Koral, are not just referred to as parallel universes..no no no.. they're called completely separate REALITIES. I mean it makes sense, they're constantly called separate shows, they're ACTUAL spinoffs even in lore 😭. So these alternate realities have their own Cosmologies, just like the main SpongeBob show does. However there is a very very important event that caused all of this, an event that actually affected all 3 of these realities at once..it was an event called “the Tidal Zone". As explained by Astrofishicist, Neil DeBass Tyson, millions and millions of years ago there was a very large scale event; we all know it as the Big Bang. This big bang was so large, and powerful, it was stated to be…bigger than Patrick's appetite! But really, this spectacular event caused Wumbo Photons to accelerate, creating a nautical nonsense Multiverse. Many of these alternate universes are interesting, but of course there's the universes we're familiar with, the realities I already mentioned. What's even more interesting is that these realities have infinite timelines and universes contained inside of them, which we have already discussed of course. But these realities are separate from each other, very much parallel and opposing in many ways. But what's even crazier is the fact that the Big Bang that created the universe, of course created the Multiverse, and these universes are INSIDE that Multiverse. The 3 Multiversal Universes are part of an ACTUAL multiverse much bigger than them, I know…crazy right?

Now the Tidal Zone is an event that was going to, effectively merge all 3 of these realities together. And it did exactly that, there was a whole event that showed us what happened when these 3 realities collided into one, we even see an outside perspective. The News Anchor Fish who was reporting about all the events happening, all the universes that were being affected, was actually corrupted by the Tidal Zones effects and universe changes. It was actually catastrophic, it was corrupting universes and merging them together. So can anyone actually scale to the Tidal Zone? Well in the actual special, no. Honestly, for all the hype surrounding it, the special itself doesn't do much lol. At the very least it does show the realities intertwining, but more interestingly from what we see from the universes shown in the Tidal Zone, every universe in the SpongeBob multiverse works very similarly and centers around SpongeBob as a world. And considering the fact that messes in the timestream can create new universes, and Kamp Koral is one of those universes created, this would mean those timestreams affect the other realities. I mean we already know this but I'm just adding on to those arguments hehe. Was this section truly needed then? I mean if timestreams can affect all other realities, Cosmic Jelly being a concept throughout all these universes since every universe in the outer SpongeBob multiverse basically work the same, and if these versions might as well scale to each other anyways, did the Tidal Zone even matter? Well yes, it gives SpongeBob scaling an even bigger scale to work off of…and yeah I like being dramatic. 3 realities that are Multi+ on their own, interconnected with other realities in another Multiverse because of timeline shenanigans and cosmic jelly that the cast scales to…yeah it's Multi+ with extra steps but give me credit guys..I gave y'all my own SpongeBob arg!

So TLDR; the 3 SpongeBob shows are separate realities that aren't very connected to each other in a physical way, but are connected in the Multiverse due to how fragile timelines are and how infinite realities can be created based on certain changes. Concepts like Cosmic Jelly are also existent throughout the Multiverse due to how every universe is the same SpongeBob world building. These 3 realities on their own contain infinite universes making them Multi+ and the true SpongeBob multiverse is also infinite due to the nature of timelines…good? Alright we're good…

Actually one more thing! If you're confused on how Grandpat could travel through these realities despite them not really intertwining much, that's because the Tidal Zone merged them together so I guess it made them part of the same reality…though obviously the event didn't last forever…

K’Nuckles transmutation resistance?

Yes I know I already gave K’Nuckles a transmutation resistance and all…however people may not approve of crossover material being used, although we'll talk about that in general later. For those who don't wanna use this crossover content, there is another argument for K’Nuckles resisting transmutation…at least for the most part. Now in the final episode of Flapjack, K’Nuckles and Flap catch a fish disease that ends up turning them into fish. However you may have already noticed that K’Nuckles had two forms, a mermaid form and a normal fish form. This is because K’Nuckles didn't become a full-on Fish, only the bottom half was a fish yet was still able to mostly walk for some reason? A lot of time passes, and I mean a LOT of time passes and we still see K’Nuckles and Flapjack as mermen, still not complete fishes. Then K’Nuckles takes off his shirt and….turns into a fish, yeah he just takes his shirt off and only then becomes a normal fish.

So why is this a transmutation resistance? After all, he did actually get affected by it. Well yes, but he wasn't completely affected by it for a long time, it only affected his bottom half which didn't actually affect his normal abilities much. He only became a normal fish when he took his shirt off, which is funny cuz we still see their actual skin and normal body WHILE their shirt is being taken off, it's clear that the top half of their body was completely normal. Yet it only changed when they took their shirt off, they only gained a complete fish physiology when their shirt came off. What does this mean? K’Nuckles can mostly resist transmutation as long as his shirt is on…yes that's an actual sentence I just said. As long as he has a short on, he could mostly resist transmutation but only his bottom half gets sorta effected…yes this is an actual argument but this is the only way I can explain it lol. So yeah even without the crossover stuff K’Nuckles can mostly resist transmutation.

Flapjack Moon Feats

You may have noticed that we didn't actually elaborate on any of the Flapjack moon feats, in which the verse has a couple of them. This is because…uhh…the Moon's size is VERY inconsistent. It goes from a little bit bigger than Flapjack and K'Nuckles, a lot bigger than them, the size of the ACTUAL moon, and as big or comparable to the earth. Yeah it's really really inconsistent, it constantly changes lmao. So how can you even calc these feats?? How is it even possible with how inconsistent the size of the moon is? The feats will either be very very low, decently high, or really high. Well it's simple, we'll make multiple calcs to account for all sizes just in case people are adamant on a certain size for the moon! After all, every showing of the moon differing in size is an exaggeration and dramatic visual in both ways, so it can really be interpreted in any of those ways. And I don't think we should use its lowest ends cuz of exaggeration, we obviously see that in the characters’ POV the moon looks normal size. We just wanna give some variation and all, some people may not buy certain things. Of course for debate purposes and just using characters at their peak, the verdict will be using the high ends of these feats! Now, we'll account for 3 separate feats for this moon stuff. Bubbie shaking the moon, and Flapjack causing the 8-balls to circle the moon multiple times.

Moon shaking:

Low-End: (Small-Building)

Mid-End: (19 Gigatons of TNT) (Island)

High-End: (29.6 Exatons of TNT) (Moon)

Circling the Moon:

Low-End: (-2 MPH)

Mid-End: (0.036c - Relativistic) (Large Town)

High-End: (0.137c)

Verdict

As you all know, this will be a very fun debate to talk about! Both of these guys have so much to discuss and frankly this is more elaborated than most people would think. Of course this is my favorite matchup for both characters, I think this is very fun and the banter between the two is awesome. Also the number of funny closeups you can have makes this peak. We have a sailor fight here, and only one of them can prove they're not completely washed up and greedy…sometimes…but enough talk.. let us see who will win this scurvy debate and take home the doubloons!

𝕿𝖎𝖒𝖊 ⨎𝖔𝖗 𝓪 𝕾𝓪𝖎𝖑𝖔𝖗 𝕱𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙!

Experience/Skill

Both of these guys have had lots of experience, a lot of it is similar. They're both around similar ages, both were part of the Navy and had been exploring the sea for many many years before the present events, and even then they've both done a lot. Mr. Krabs is a very good businessman that can bargain with people and trick those who're very naive and trusting. Being cheap means Krabs is a great con man, and he's constantly tricked Plankton, a self acclaimed genius. Even outsmarting Plankton and using convoluted plots to constantly defeat him and expose his plans. Of course Krabs is very experienced in combat as he's a trained sailor and olympic winner, has defeated groups of enemies, and spent years of his life battling enemies as a pirate. Even being able to defeat a bunch of pirates using just a telescope, showing he can use his arsenal well.

Captain K'Nuckles has pretty similar feats, he was raised by pirates, sailors, and lived his life as an adventurer…even if he wasn't the best at it. He's not book smart but he's learned a lot from his experience as a bottom feeder. He can trick people with cons and outsmart people via his unpredictability, and he's able to use his wit and confidence to trick very naive people into doing things for him. He's tricked and influenced entire groups of people into following him, despite those people not trusting him at all beforehand. K’Nuckles is gifted in craft, is surprisingly muscular despite his terrible body shape, and is a very quick thinker. He can come up with entire plots on the spot in order to get out of sticky situations. He can also defeat 100 pirates, overpower a bunch of random people, and even fight a deer in a headlock.

Now it's pretty clear that Mr. Krabs is generally much much smarter than K’Nuckles, Captain K’Nuckles is so stupid that he doesn't know what 2+2 is, can't count past 3, and doesn't even know basic sailor knowledge. And while both are skilled in scams and tricks, Krabs has consistently been better at outsmarting people. K’Nuckles tricks haven't always worked and sometimes his plots can fail, while the same can be said for Krabs, he's consistently been more successful at it and has made plots that last much longer. Not to mention he's come up with far more convoluted plots and has outplayed Plankton committing his own convoluted ploys. Now both have very exploitable weaknesses, and can easily surrender to their obsessions.

While Krabs would get easily tricked by a dollar and become far more stupid in the presence of money, K’Nuckles can get knocked out for days from candy overstimulation and he'll follow absolutely any command if he's given candy. Both are exploitable and it's clear that K’Nuckles would be affected by his weakness more, though it's not like both can really exploit each other's obsession. And even if they did, they're both so exploitable that it might lead to them being more viscous towards the other. Overall, Krabs is generally smarter, better at coming up with plots and tricking people, and is actually far more experienced in combat considering his experience, while K’Nuckles is generally less impressive in skill. This category goes to MR. KRABS.

Arsenal/Equipment

These two have claimed lots of gear from their adventures, all pirates need the best gear possible if they're going to claim treasure from the dangerous waters. Krabs has a spyglass, a patty bell that makes people want a krabby patty, a couple of disguises, a flamethrower, a nasty patty, a large spear, the head of a swordfish that he used as a sword…damn, a bunch of clamfishing equipment, some growth serum that lets him grow things to the size of buildings, a sponge patty that turns people yellow and disoriented, an artificial patty that turns you into a Patty Mutant, cannons that shoot people, a vacuum that can raise the dead and bring him an army of ghosts, and random combat weapons like swords and axes. Of course Krabs has his own creation, the Krabby Patties, which can bring people back to life, make you addicted to them, and save you from mind control. Krabs himself has explosive patties, jellyfish filled patties, bear trap patties, and firework patties. Finally Mr Krabs has multiple projectiles, consisting of an exploding pie launcher, tartar sauce gun, a condiment cannon, pickle blaster, electric tuning fork, bubblegum blaster and a reef blower; using these weapons to defeat hordes of robots created by Plankton.

While K’Nuckles doesn't have as many weapons as Krabs does, don't worry, he still has a lot of stuff to offer in terms of arsenal! He of course has his prosthetic limbs which can not only move on their own, but he can also switch out his limbs and use other people's, like when he stole a giants legs and used them as his own by switching out his bottom. He also has infinite amounts of throwing candy which can explode upon contact, more limited giant candies, explosive candies and stinky candies which can instantly melt items and platforms upon contact. K’Nuckles arsenal also consists of a periscope, spyglass, a couple of swords, a giant candy cane, some disguises and fishing equipment, a large screwdriver, glass lens that could burn you under heat, an axe, a frying pan, scuba equipment, snowballs which can turn you into snowmen, a drink so sweet it can instantly knock you out, and tonic that can revive you upon death. Finally K’Nuckles has mermaid tears, that allow him to wish for absolutely anything when he eats them. So he could turn things into solid gold, BFR people, teleport items away, turn people into animals, summon monsters, and enlarge limbs.

Now we didn't forget the fighting game stuff! We just wanted to save it for last! Cuz there's arguably a lot more to talk about lmao. Krabs in Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 has access to a lot of perks that aid him in the campaign mode of the game. These perks have lots of capabilities, like gaining extra movement speed, charge attacks faster, heal damage, gain temporary shields that absorb +10% damage, can fire an explosive projectile every 15 seconds, can inflict debuffs, and can summon more power ups. Krabs also has the items and weapons from All Star Brawl, like an Anchor, a Boombox, giant logs, guidance chips that summon ships that rain lasers, a Krabby Patty that'll heal him, a clarinet that shoots projectiles, a boomerang, a machine that can suck in players and items towards it, a mini rocket that can home in on enemies, the fenton thermos which can summon ghosts that'll float and attack upwards, explosive pies, and a couple of jellyfish that'll sting you when you cross its path.

K’Nuckles also gets a lot of items from his fighting game, Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion. Captain K'Nuckles gets access to throwing Items like a breaker which will put an opponent in a dizzy status, a dodge ball, tentacle bomb, a rainbow monkey which will slow down the walk and run speed and force players to only skip, a coco egg which will spawn another item, and an elephant toy which changes the color of the screen. There's also more interactive items like assists, mines which can insta kill players, and 1UPs that'll revive you upon death. Then there's the in game weapons like multiple battering weapons, weapons like Grim’s scythe that can shoot projectiles and deal lots of damage, the hex staff which shoots a laser projectile, a hand sword, frog transmutation wand, a pillow battering weapon which causes dizzy status, and consumables which are capable of healing 100% of your health…

Now both have tons of general combat weapons like swords, battering stuff, fishing equipment, arsenal helpful for the seas, and even large ships of their own in order to combat each other in a high sea battle. Krabs absolutely has the larger arsenal, there's no doubt about that, even with normal combat weapons Krabs is just more versatile than K’Nuckles. Although versatility isn't everything, it depends on if your versatility is reliable enough to defeat your opponents. Both have transmutation hax, although both can also resist said hax. While both have a lot of projectiles and ranged weaponry, K’Nuckles stinky candy can basically negate Krabs' arsenal as it can just instantly melt objects, not to mention K’Nuckles having more explosive projectiles than Krabs, due to the fact he can throw infinite pieces of candy. K’Nuckles has greater instant healing options, can ignore the effects of the Krabby Bell since he wouldn't care which has negated its effects, and the ability to switch body parts is a pretty funny way to solve the stat gap since he can just use Krabs’ arms lol.

And while Krabs can summon an army of spiritual ancestors and a couple of other ghosts via the Fenton thermos, K’Nuckles can summon his own monsters and can summon assists. Said assists could make the opponent dance, summon an army of tanks, create shields to counter Krabs' shield, and reverse the player's controls; and if we equate the fighting game logic, mines could insta kill Krabs while 1UPs help K’Nuckles survive longer in the fight. And finally, the mermaid tears are more versatile in hax than Krabs. K’Nuckles could just BFR Krabs away, teleport away his items and weapons, and could turn Krabs into solid gold. This and the fact K’Nuckles has assists that can instantly freeze opponents is helpful since we know from the SpongeBob movie that Krabs can't really resist being frozen in place. This happens many other times in the show as well, turning Krabs into gold would just be a surefire way to permanently incapacitate Krabs. Overall, while Krabs is absolutely more versatile in equipment than K’Nuckles, K’Nux has better incap options, counters, and versatility in haxes from his arsenal. This category goes CAPTAIN K’NUCKLES.

Abilities/Powers

While these guys aren't completely well known for their abilities, they do have quite a bit to talk about. Krabs being a mid-life crustacean could smell laziness for up to 30,000 miles, use his pincers to fend off against enemies, and can disintegrate the arms of people much weaker than him if they punch his iron gut. He's elastic enough to stretch or enlarge his eyes, can turn a bunch of patties into Pizza, can consistently breath on the surface, remove people's memory of things people watch from a TV, teleport if he hears the sound of money, can set himself on fire, shapeshift his body parts, and even show up in people's thoughts if they are thinking about him. Krabs also has really good regeneration, he could survive having his whole body falling apart, keep moving as just the top part of his body, regenerate from body parts and his bones disintegrating, and can instantly regenerate from dust. Krabs also has All Star Brawl power ups, which could enlarge his size, freeze people with projectiles, can make projectiles follow enemies, and can receive a random buff.

K’Nuckles on the other hand can use his terrible breath to disintegrate nearby objects or physical interact with people in a distance, can just fly or turn himself into a living jetpack, stretch his limbs that make him squash and squish in great lengths, has multiple ways to self-explode and become a living nuke, manipulate darkness by mimicking a lamp, and by being somewhere in the west, K’Nuckles can randomly summon creatures or aggressive monsters of the sea. K’Nuckles also has the ability to manipulate his imagination via storytelling, where people connected to his consciousness will be stuck inside his mind where K’Nuckles can basically warp reality, summon anything he wants and just keep people stuck since you can't escape from the story until the story ends thanks to the storyteller. K’Nuckles can also summon sand decays which could make opponents dizzy and even reset their momentum and affect infinite jumps and magic shifting, and spinning like a drill is said to break through projectile spam. Finally, K’Nuckles has regeneration, so he could regenerate from his entire body being torn apart into small pieces, his head being blown off, can regenerate from dust, and can even regenerate from just a pair of eyes!

So Krabs does have a more unique set of abilities, considering the guy has memory manipulation, can teleport, and can just show up in people's memories. However said abilities are not extremely reliable as they seem, the memory manipulation is…well very circumstantial as he did it via a TV remote in front of a TV and only removing the memories of the movie. Teleportation is helpful but it only really happens when he hears the sound of free things, so he wouldn't be able to just return to the fight normally if he gets BFRed away. And while showing up in people's memories is very very powerful, K’Nuckles has the most specifically perfect counter to this. If Krabs shows up in K’Nuckles thoughts, Captain would just sorta…trap Krabs in his mind via storytelling, and K’Nuckles would be in a constant state of overwhelming via reality warping and constant summoning, and Krabs can't really escape from it considering that even K’Nuckles wasn't able to escape despite him actually controlling the story.

Now both can manipulate heat in a way via getting angry, although K’Nuckles can explode himself and become a living bomb. K’Nuckles can summon sand decoys that'll instantly daze Krabs upon impact, and even resent his momentum and effect certain movements he has. And finally we must talk about their regeneration, both can survive a lotta the same stuff, they both have the ability to regenerate from dust quickly. While Krabs definitely has faster regeneration due to it being instant, K’Nuckles generally has better regeneration via being able to regenerate his whole body from just a pair of eyeballs, which is 1 step away from full body regeneration…while Krabs has impressive haxes and has faster regen, K’Nuckles has really good counters to them, has ways to greater affect Krabs in a fight, and has superior regeneration. This category goes to CAPTAIN K'NUCKLES.

Scaling/Stats

Alright let's just go through this one…..Krabs can consistently lift the Krusty Krab, can lift 500 pounds of pickles, and punch a sea monster so hard it turns into multiple monsters. He's fast enough to evade ice attacks, move to random locations in seconds, and run fast enough to create flames. Lastly, Krabs could survive multiple explosions that destroyed the Krusty Krab, resisted a nuclear explosion, and can survive multiple stories falling on top of him. And in terms of scaling, he can scale to the SpongeBob cast, who could make a patty transcend to a separate plane of reality, create entire galaxies, create a universe and parallel universe, survive black holes that destroy a universe, unravel reality with a string, and scale to cosmic jelly which a concept that could affect the verse..overall making Krabs Multiversal+ and Immeasurable in speed.

K’Nuckles could destroy an entire building, caused an entire village to be sent to the sky from a fart, can cut through mountains and water with his nails, and was able to resist the moon's gravitational pull which could flood islands. He's fast enough to outrun a large gorilla, throw a dog quickly into the sea, run quickly in short distances, and was able to swim so fast Bubbie lost him. Lastly he's durable enough to survive being mangled by an octopus, surviving falling down from the clouds, and surviving punches from a giant that could punch off the top of buildings. As for scaling to people in Stormalong Harbor, there's people who could swim to the bottom of the world in seconds, carry things with infinite strength, shake the moon, turn off the television, and even cause 8-balls to reach and circle the moon in seconds. Overall making Captain K'Nuckles Moon - High Uni and Relativistic…

…Yeah…yeah Krabs absolutely stomps. At worst it's MFTL+ and Galaxy-Uni vs Moon and MHS+....and at best it's Immeasurable and Multiversal+ vs High Uni and Relativistic. Now I didn't mention this in BTV just because I know people wouldn't buy it at all and it didn't change much, but if you use in-game feats from Punch Time Explosion then K’Nuckles would be Low Multiversal and Quad C. This is because there's a villain you fight in the game that was destroying the dimensions of multiple Cartoon Network shows (like they're the actual shows with all of their episodes, so it's technically fine to use but that's for another day) and every single episode of their shows are seen as universes, which would mean the villain was destroying hundreds of universes. And there's a feat where Chowder (yeah I know how absolutely ironic that sounds) outruns a dimension being destroyed as it's catching up to him. But yeah even if you do use this, Krabs is still infinitely stronger and faster than K’Nuckles. The only way to make the stats fair is if you go all out with crossover scaling via the game, but of course people wouldn't like that and it may feel cheap. This category absolutely goes to MR. KRABS

Summary

Mr. Krabs

“Nay, I could never harm the lad. His absence has taught me that much. And I'm not just talking about the money I'm losing with him gone. Okay, fifty percent talking about the money, fifty percent talking about how I truly miss the boy.”

Advantages

  • Infinitely stat stomping in the stat trinity, which is basically all he needs.

  • Has better combat experience and superior general intelligence

  • Greater at plotting and tricking via making more convoluted plots

  • Is far more versatile in arsenal and combat equipment

  • Has faster regeneration

  • Actually gets women

  • Isn't a broke bum that digs through trash..

Disadvantages

  • Isn't as versatile in haxes and doesn't have any real incap options

  • Doesn't have as many counters and resistances to K’Nuckles

  • His entire arsenal gets countered by the mermaid tears and stinky candy

  • Lotta things he has aren't extremely reliable against K’Nuckles

  • Remember the cuck episode..

Captain K'Nuckles

“Did I ever tell you, you were my best pal ever?"

"Yeah!”

“I did?! When did I tell you that??”

“you tell me that Everytime we eat a lot of candy!”

“Haha! Here's to candy!"

Advantages

  • Is generally more versatile in offensive haxes and abilities

  • Actually has incap options via petrification, BFR and thought sealing

  • Has more counters and resistances to Krabs' best options

  • Has better regeneration and infinite projectiles

  • Assists and summoning gives him superior and more reliable support

  • Stinky candy and item teleportation counters Krabs' arsenal

  • In Punch Time Explosion, he actually ended up finding Candied Island

  • Never enslaved an entire race…

Disadvantages

  • Gets infinitely stomped in the stat trinity…indubitably unfortunate…

  • Generally less versatile in arsenal and equipment

  • In terms of book smarts he's an absolute idiot and sometimes his quick thinking gets figured out later on

  • Has slower regeneration in comparison to Krabs, which is instantaneous.

  • Why hasn't Flapjack come back yet…..

Conclusion

While yes K’Nuckles does have a lot of advantages especially considering his hax options and all the many ways he can counter Krabs and incapacitate him. However…..yeah it doesn't really matter that much since Krabs is just infinitely faster and stronger, and is generally much smarter than K’Nuckles and has a more vast arsenal due to…y'know.. having much more history…oh why couldn't Flapjack come back in some way. Maybe the blog will be cursed and we get a new flapjack comic! Seriously though, no matter what ends you use for Flapjack just get outmatched by the accepted SpongeBob stats, if K’Nuckles had fully body regeneration then mayhaps it could've been closer. However as we have seen via his iron gut, just being weaker than him means everything K’Nuckles punches him his limbs will disintegrate..and it's much worse if Krabs just lands one hit on the guy. Crossover scaling is the only way to really make the stats close and have K’Nuckles outhax, but unfortunately I didn't wanna dwell upon that, even I knew it would've felt a bit cheap. However I gotta admit that Krabs did earn the victory, the dude is actually a badass and is my favorite SpongeBob character to use for DB next (it's actually tied with Plankton but I'm supposed to be biased for Krabs smh..) and as you can see I absolutely think this is his best, it's perfectly thematic for him and the dynamic sounds awesome. A pirate fight with a lotta creative settings, and a more unique SpongeBob fight than you'd normally see. But of course, while K’Nuckles had the haxes, counters, and sheer unpredictability factor; Krabs was generally smarter, had better tactics, and just stat stomped too hard lol. Krabs sure got a bang for his buck, though K’Nuckles just couldn't get that sweet sweet victory…

Mr. Krabs has escaped this deadly fate and is tonight's winner

Captain K'Nuckles on the other hand, has been sentenced to Death By Blog

THE WINNER IS MR KRABS

(Message from Eugene Krabs:) If any of ye plan to read the Plankton blog that came out…ur nothin’ but a dirty chum lover!! Also no 1¢ discount at the Krusty Krab!

  2. Very fun blog, even if it's not my preferred for Krabs. Next time sounds interesting, but it seems a bit unfair. I love DK, but I don't think he has any way to truly finish Popeye. His healing, better stats via Mario scaling, and invincibility options can buy him time, but that's it.

Death By Blog: Mr. Krabs vs Captain K'Nuckles

"Greed is good" - Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street” Welcome to DBB Ahoy there readers! I've recently been thinkin' abou...
