DBB: Character Chamber - Syndrome

[Hello? Hello, can anyone hear me? My name is Antelope-Man…I'm reaching out to anyone who can reach this message…I don't know if I'm the last one left but it's coming for me, and I don't know how long I'll survive until that…thing comes back for seconds. If any of you know who I am..then you know that this is a major threat…if only Mr. Incredible was here man..he'd be strong enough to take this monster down. But I think I know what's going on now. After my first encounter with a prototype, I contacted a fellow super named Everseer, who lent me a helping look into many futures to see all of the damage that would be caused from this. I am now here to warn anyone who finds this of all the dangers this thing could create for the supers of the world…and it first starts with warning everyone about who is causing all of this in the first place..]

And today I'll reveal all his statistics, powers, arsenal, and terrible machinations to the world..in hopes to reach someone who can stop him for good…]

Before We Start!

Editors Note: Hi! FMT here!! So we'll be using most of the Incredibles material for the blog, such as the movies, the animated shorts, the comic books, and the videogame which is canonized by the comic books; but ofc we'll use the games Syndrome's in. We'll also use guidebooks, story books, novelizations, and original novels for extra material! Why? Well Incredibles 2 essentially changed the original planned canon, you see the game and the comics were the canon sequels to the first movie that expand upon Syndrome's story and impact and even show off more of his villainy, then Incredibles 2 changes it to something else. So it was basically “do I choose the original canon that gives Syndrome a lot more to work with? Or do I use the movie that doesn't give Syndrome anything" and..yeah it was not a hard choice lol. Incredibles 2 will still be used for scaling however since the Parr family is the exact same, it just won't be a focus. For this reason as well, Twisted Tales will be used as it's the same exact timeline just with an alternate end. The only things we won’t use are the Disney games and Disney plays or stuff like that since they don't really have any semblance or connection to the movie. The only exception is Disney Infinity as it has a story mode that can at least connect to the first movie. This will be a fun unique blog!

History

"It tore me apart. But I learned an important lesson. You can’t count on anyone. Especially your heroes.”

Alright let's take this from the beginning. Back in the old days, people like me were all over the world, people with superpowers who vowed to protect those who couldn't defend themselves. I was friends with many of those heroes, from Gazerbeam and Gamma Jack, to Frozone and Hypershock. The one me and basically every super looked up to was the strongest of them all, Mr. Incredible. The guy was so strong he could lift or bend anything, there was this one time a fan asked him to bend his ex-girlfriend’s car to get back at her haha. Sorry, getting off topic. But yup, those were the old days. Then one day after Mr. Incredible saved a man from taking his life and was in battle with one of his arch nemesis, Bomb Voyage, a young boy wanted to join him in battle. Buddy Pine was a devoted Mr. Incredible fanboy, he had a lot of them to be frank, but this one wanted to be his sidekick, can you believe that? Obviously Mr. Incredible rejected him, he was just a kid and Mr. Incredible didn't need the extra help, and he was proven right when Bomb Voyage attached a bomb to his cape in order to force Mr. Incredible to attempt to save him.

It all went..very horribly as it resulted in a train crash that caused all of us to be sued for causing more damage than repair I guess. So we were outlawed, banned from society, forced to live normal lives. As the years went by, many of us wanted to take any chance to be supers, go back into action and save the day. It may sound odd to miss basically putting your own life at risk to save people, but that's what made it so great. Sure beats working at retail. But then a certain secret organization started calling supers, requesting them to fight evil robots and fill out dangerous tasks. Obviously many of us were thrilled for the opportunity, I was one of them, I was frickin’ stoked to be a super again. But as I personally witnessed, these robots we had to defeat, there was a deeper ploy that was going on. After defeating the first robot I asked the Everseer, a super who can see into the future, to see what was the deal with these bots, and we learned many awful things. These robots named “Omnidroids" were made specifically to kill supers, to kill us, and we found out that they killed so many supers. So many of my closest allies, my closest friends.

And the mastermind behind it all was none other than Buddy Pine, now naming himself Syndrome. Turns out he took that rejection personally, too personally. He wanted revenge, he wanted to prove he could be a better superhero than Mr. Incredible and show him what it feels like to be rejected and disrespected. He learned that he couldn't trust anyone, especially his heroes, he had to rely on himself. So using his technological expertise, he created weapons he sold to many countries, making him wealthy and free to create whatever he wanted. He created an entire agency, a secret military to fund something he called “Operation Kronos." He would pit retired supers like me against his Omnidroid prototypes, under the pretense that it was a military project that needed to be shut down. And any super who failed to kill the Omnidroid were killed by it or by Syndrome himself. He would analyze and record each fight in order to make his Omnidroids more and more powerful than before, making them constantly adapt and learn from battle.

What was the end goal of it all? He wanted to launch his most powerful Omnidroid version to the world, pretend to defeat it, and became the greatest hero the world has ever seen and truly prove he's better than Mr. Incredible. THAT was his motivation all along, not just for petty revenge, validation, and justice, but because he's still a Mr. Incredible fanboy. He was such a big fan of Mr. Incredible that he was willing to kill off dozens of real heroes and practically become a war criminal all to make Mr. Incredible truly recognize him. All this time he still wanted to impress his hero and get the validation that was taken away from him, he was still the fanboy who wanted to keep Mr. Incredible to show him everything he had accomplished without him, how much better he was. Even when he had the chance to kill him when he contained him, he wanted Mr. Incredible to watch and see everything he was going to do, because he wanted to impress his favorite superhero.

But in the end that worthless motivation was his greatest downfall, in a future where he lost everything, his hubris and wanting to be in the spotlight made his own Omnidroid turn against him and override its programming. Syndrome lost all control of his plan, and a team consisting of Mr. Incredibles family and the ice hero Frozone defeated the Omnidroid once and for all. In order to get back at Mr. Incredible one last time, Syndrome attempted to kidnap his infant son to raise as his own just to sprite his hero. But once again his confidence got the better of him as the family retaliated, which caused Syndrome's cape to be caught onto his jet turbine, finally ridding the world of a man who killed dozens just to impress one guy. I remember my suit maker talking about something like that, ironic thinking about it now.

But even though he would finally be taken out of the picture, his impact on the remaining supers would forever stain their legacy. With all of their comrades and close friends gone, we will never forget about the man who took so much away from the world, from us, all because he felt the world took everything away from him, even though he had everything he needed already.

Skill and Experience

Buddy spent many years plotting his revenge on us supers, and over the years he learned how to be the cruelest villain to all supers, all to prove he was better in every way. From childhood he spent 15 years manipulating his way up, rather than using his inventions for good, he would create powerful weapons that he would sell to power countries who would pay as much as possible to get their hands on such technology. This is how Buddy, now named Syndrome, got all of his resources and power to create even more powerful weapons. He grew to be someone who knew how to make people crack or give up, such as “killing" Mr. Incredibles family and breaking him completely, and testing his morality and just how much he could hold himself back.

If it wasn't for his family being alive, he would've completely broken Mr. Incredible. Syndrome's Master plan was to send his Omnidroid into a public city to endanger the lives of the people, only to come in and pretend to be a hero so the public sees him as one. He killed, so so many heroes, all so he could pretend to be one. And when he was older he planned to sell his inventions, that way if everyone was super, no one would be. Bit of a uh, egregious and heavily flawed plan but I wouldn't expect any better from a comic book nerd. Even after everything failed, Syndrome planned to steal the Parr family’s baby Jack-Jack, that way he could raise him as a mentor and take everything away from Mr. Incredible. Too bad for him, it blew up in his face amiright?

However, the Everseer saw many visions into the future, some more possible than others, and one vision truly showed how far Syndrome was willing to go to prove his hatred for Mr. Incredible. After Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl were captured, Syndrome used this to trick their children Violet and Dash into working for him. Telling them that their parents were killed by a vicious supervillain, killed in cold blood, all so he could fill them with rage and vengeance, enough rage and vengeance to work for him and do his dirty work. He wanted to put Mr. Incredibles own children against him, and my god did it work. He even made them believe that they were actually working with him, that way their children would trust him with their life. He wanted to kill those children, but he held back those wants to get back at Mr. Incredible personally all so he could do it in a much worse way. And Syndrome holding that back let him get his ultimate revenge, rather than killing Mr Incredible and Elastigirl, he would use their children to steal a nullifier, and then watch as their own kids use it on them.

Basic Arsenal

Prototype Aero Boots

Syndrome actually made some rocket boots when he was a lot younger, have to admit he had incredible mechanic expertise, if only he used it responsibly.

Aero Boots 2.0

More advanced versions of his prototype rockets, they allow him to fly with ease, making him look like the hero he's pretending to be.

Energy Blasters

Decent energy blasters that are mostly used for show, but as you can see they can still offer decent range combat. As an add-on, he can also shoot mini-shockwaves that have even better AOE, and he can shoot both multiple times.

Bio-Explosive

A very small yet powerful device capable of creating massive explosions in order to easily kill supers, in which it was going to kill Mr. Incredible before he managed to escape it.

Bio-Probe

A mini-drone that Syndrome can summon to whichever location he chooses, it'll essentially scan the proximity for anything “Super" or with superhero DNA to scope them out.

Holograms

Syndrome is very experienced with using holograms especially for missions, while he can deploy more civilian holograms that can act things such as delivery drivers and such, they are a lot more stationary and are mostly used as decoys for missions.

Forcefield

With his wrist device, Syndrome could generate a large forcefield big enough to cover entire buildings, all to contain fights so his opponent wouldn't escape so easily.

Homing Missiles

With just the press of a button, Syndrome can send out a bunch of homing missiles that'll seek out anything in the proximity to dispose of it.

Manta Jet

A large jet that Syndrome uses when he needs to run away and plan again, this is what a coward does when they can't win.

Special Gadgets

Zero Point Energy

By merely pointing at a super and targeting them, he'll essentially freeze them in place. This Zero Point energy locks heroes into place, somewhat negating their abilities so they can't punch, stretch, outspeed, or forcefield their way out. He confirms himself that superpowers won't help against the zero point energy, and he even implies he can sink things in the water while using said energy against a hero.

Stun Watch

A unique techno-watch that Syndrome, of course, invented himself. An interesting option for such a meaningless device is a stun option, a button that literally says “SET TO STUN". Theoretically, Syndrome would be able to point the watch at someone and instantly stun them, he likes doing that idk what to tell you.

Sleeping Spray

Syndrome has obviously faced many enemies in his career, especially people in his way, and as you could guess because of his fragile cowardice he would need something to quickly take care of enemies. So he designed Sleeping Spray that can put multiple people at once to sleep, and more impressively it'll cause them to sleep for hours on end.

Pizza Planet Devices

Okay the car itself isn't what's interesting although I am in the mood for a pizza since I haven't eaten in days after the attack, it's the gadgets it contains that are gadgets Syndrome himself developed and most likely has access to. This car can shoot laser beams at enemies, launch actual missiles, and even deploy parachutes for easy escape. But more notably, it also has a Shrink Ray in which anything it shoots will, as you can guess, shrink.

The Nullifier

A mysterious and seemingly powerful villain named ‘Mastermind’ had a gadget called the “Nullifier" which had the power to take away a Super’s abilities. Yes it's very literal, it strips away abilities of any super no matter how powerful. Not only would it negate the special powers a super has, it would also weaken them, essentially turning Superheroes into normal humans. Syndrome stole this weapon and used it himself to nullify the powers of Mastermind, it’s basically a spray of mist that will instantly enter your lungs and affect your DNA. Just smelling its scent will let it take effect on your body, and you no longer have access to your special powers.

Support/Summons

Bird Drones

Syndrome has many bird-based robotic drones in his island, usually they're meant for surveillance and keeping an eye on anything that happens at his base; if they detect anything unfamiliar they will screech and summon Syndrome's forces.

Island Robots

Syndrome has dozens upon dozens of robots on his island, and there's a very versatile amount of them. You have robot drones that hover above you and shoot you down, grounded bots that rise and shoot at you with extra damage, and spinning blades drones with sharp appendages to slice and dice any enemy who dares step foot.

Armed Forces

There are dozens, upon dozens of armed soldiers and henchmen at Syndromes disposal, all of them have very dangerous firearms in order to shoot down any unfamiliar enemies on the base. These guards are trained and equipped to go against supers, in fact they have lots of experience against supers.

Air Forces

Contrary to his ground forces, Syndrome also has dozens of air forces that are capable of chasing supers and gunning them down.

The Omnidroids

Syndrome has made many Omnidroid variants, all made to adapt and learn from the many heroes they battle, as you can see they're very dangerous to us. Weaker Omnidroids such as V.9 are capable of overpowering and blitzing powerful supers such as Mr. Incredible, they're capable of predicting the movements of supers by analyzing how they fight, and they can even roll into orbs so they can flatten you or bulldoze you if you manage to match their regular speed. Even the lower versions are very heat resistant, being able to survive being thrown into lava, in fact they're able to use it to their advantage. They're also able to turn their claws into spinning blades in order to chop up any brave supers.

Omnidroid Deploy

You may automatically assume that Syndrome doesn't have any more of these left, but you'd be surprised to hear that he actually has access to all of these, and is capable of sending them all out, in fact it's even implied he can send out dozens more. Well actually forget the implication, in this other timeline the Everseer foresaw, he deployed so many Omnidroids they were all over the entire city, dozens upon dozens of them wreaking havoc. Some of these Omnidroids are capable of shooting very powerful lasers that could fry their opponents, and Syndrome can just instantly summon all of these Omnidroids and multiple types all at once with a quick command.

Omnidroid V.10

The “biggest" and “baddest" version of the Omnidroid. It's bigger than any Omnidroid Syndrome has at his disposal, and of course it's his most powerful one. Automatically V.10 was able to blitz and grab Mr. Incredible, catch him off guard multiple times, and slam him multiple times; and with its powerful blades it always would have killed Mr. Incredible if Syndrome didn't have a flare for dramatics. This absolute monstrosity is almost completely invulnerable, being able to completely resist being shot by rounds of guns and tanks. This version is so smart and advanced, it was able to recognize it was being controlled and went against that directive. It's also capable of shooting its own claws like Jets in order to catch enemies or even impale them.

Actions & Stats

Overall
  • Was able to create an entire secret government corporation from the ground up via his own intelligence
  • Sold his inventions to many countries as weapons, and as a result of it makes millions to fund his personal project
  • Managed to kill off dozens of world renowned supers by constantly upgrading his Omnidroids
  • Managed to capture Mr. Incredible and the other supers, even if momentarily

Flaws & Weaknesses

The obvious weakness for Syndrome is that while he's pretending to be a super, he's just a human with normal human vulnerabilities. The guy died to a plane engine cutting him into pieces for crying out loud. But for the non-obvious weaknesses, Buddy has a tendency to dwell into the supervillain stereotypes, such as monologuing which keeps him distracted, gloating and taking in the spotlight, and just being blissfully ignorant of things that could potentially harm him because of his overconfidence. And finally the biggest to him is his own creation, the Omnidroid V.10. While he can control it with a remote, if it gets too smart and sees Syndrome use the remote to control it, it'll destroy the remote and go against its directives to further adapt itself.

Before the Conclusion!

UNIVERSAL MAN!! (Omnidroid Scaling Discussion)

Editor's Notes: Now a very infamous topic for the Incredibles verse and especially the Omnidroid is whether or not they can actually scale to the Supers they kill, because all of the kills are off-screen and the method for how they killed these supers isn't very clear. How can the Omnidroid defeat heroes such as Hypershock who can create seismic waves? Or Thunderhead who can manipulate entire storms? Or Gamma Jack who specializes in creating massive Radiation Blasts? They're all off-screen so for all we know the Omnidroid wasn't actually able to physically defeat them right? Well not exactly, as it would defeat the point of the Omnidroids themselves. They're not made to be the perfect hax counters, they adapt as they fight, they become stronger, more durable, and bigger as they're developed.

Omnidroid V.10 is meant to be the final, perfect version of the Omnidroid which takes every strength every version of the Omnidroids had. Every time an Omnidroid was beaten, it was made to be bigger and badder than before. This all means it's most likely the Omnidroid was actually physically superior to all these Supers, there's a reason Mr. Incredible was saved for last aside from Syndrome's obsession with him, but because he was considered one of the or not the most powerful Super among them. There can't really be any other way the Omnidroid could've defeated these supers without overpowering them or resisting them, as the current Omnidroid’s main property is it's power; it's unlikely that Syndrome would design it any other way if the Omnidroid wasn't strong enough to defeat these supers via raw power and durability, or it's at least the most likely outcome.

But now that we talk about Super Scaling, we of course must talk about the black hole sized elephant in the room. Universal Man of course! He is a man, who is Universal! Basically he has the power to alter his density from gaseous to near-black hole. Now many people may assume he can just turn into a black hole, and that's it, star level Incredibles right? Well, how dense do you have to be to mimic an ACTUAL Black Hole? Well we can talk all day about how much density it'd take to form a black hole, or even how difficult it would be to squish mass less than the Schwarzschild radius especially for the size of a human being. However realistically, as it's mentioned he can turn into a Gravity Nexus as one of his more impressive feats, and is for some reason not as strong as Mr. Incredible if that were true, it's more likely he can replicate a gravity well and not literally become a black hole. So while the scaling issue to Universal Man wouldn't be too much of an issue, it's Universal Man himself that pushes against stats that could potentially be higher than suggested.

Relativistic Humans??

Another very infamous discussion for the Incredibles scaling is if the lasers these characters react to are actually legit. Okay honestly we didn't really need a whole BTC section for this, but of course questions will be asked so those questions will be answered. Well the main feat that's presented most is where Jack Jack’s human babysitter uses a mirror to immediately intercept one of his lasers, the scene itself shows it's a legit laser too. The main debunk for the argument is that “she was prepared for it so she wouldn't scale to it as much." While she was prepared for it, the fact she did it multiple times means it's consistent.

And even with that logic, still being able to react to those lasers would still be impressive regardless. Even if you still don't buy this feat, still also Bob instantly ducking under Jack Jack’s laser very directly, Kari and Screech being able to react to his lasers, and a damn raccoon was able to react to his lasers. A raccoon and a human wouldn't have faster reactions than a superhero. And if you do wanna argue that and also not use the Incredibles 2 feats, both Violet and Dash also react to lasers in the comic books to make this more consistent. Overall, laser reactions are incredibly consistent in this verse, even normal humans and animals have this reaction speed so it'd make sense to say Supers do too, if not faster narratively.

Planet Level Incredibles…is it stupid?

So this is the infamous feat when it comes to this side of the Incredibles scaling. You see, the Underminer created a machine called the Magnomizer which would have reduced the poles and flipped the whole planet, destroying everything top-side and turning the entire world upside down, quite literally. Yeah, he was going to flip the entire planet and reverse the poles so the surface would never be exposed to sunlight, constantly underground. So, could anyone even scale to this? Mr. Incredible and Frozone planned to rip it apart although they didn't exactly do that, what they did was Bob ended up dislodging and picking up the screws holding the machine and the entire base of operations powering the Magnomizer. So does no one scale since Mr. Incredible had to take down the platform not the machine? Well the Magnomizer was already in effect, it was already stated to be shaking the planet and folding the planet, it was already powerful enough to do that by the time they encountered it and had to take it down. The fact Mr. Incredible was able to remove the screws that were holding down the machine radiating PHYSICAL and harmful energy that could fold the planet and then take down said machine could make a good argument for Mr. Incredible especially to scale.

Now even if you don't buy that Mr. Incredible and Frozone do survive being hit by physical Magnomizer energy, while it would downscale the output to a possible Multi-Continental range it is still decent scaling regardless. And another arg to be made is that when The Underminer used the Magnomizer again to use a battery for his Omnidroid, he drops Helen and Violet into the core so they would be killed, however Violet's shields protect them and they escape safely to the Underminer’s surprise. Now once again it's debatable and depends on what you really buy, but regardless, where would the feat even be placed? Well as a low-end just via manipulating that magnetic energy it would get (2.39 Gigatons) or Large Mountain Level. However as for the end that calculates the energy needed to essentially flip the planet, it would get (59.44 Zettatons of TNT) or Planet Level. While there is another machine made by the Underminer that was going to “sludge the sun" and cause endless darkness, while it implies he was going to wipe out the sun, Mr. Incredible just doesn't scale to it as he had to find a way to stop it from operating not anything physical.

The Incredibles Legends: Choose your canon!

Now the main question that will be asked is  “can we even use this extended material?" After all, it's not canon anymore since the Incredibles 2 was released. Well that's why I called this BTC section "Incredibles Legends” because that's basically what this is. For a standard debate It all depends on what canon you want to focus on, whether it's the 2-movie canon or “Sequel Canon" with extra comics or the “Underminer Canon" as I'd like to call it which is what we focused on here. Now you can Soft Composite like I did with this blog, but if you want to focus on a canon, just pick which one you would rather focus on.

Both are sequels to the first movie and are their own stories but with the same exact characters from said movies, just with different ways the stories diverge. The Sequel Canon is where The Underminer escaped and the Supers worked with Winston Deavor to become legal again, the Underminer canon is where they kept chasing the Underminer and found a secret plan he and a whole team of villains wanted to accomplish. Like I said before, it just depends on what you want to use for a debate, Sequel Canon, Underminer Canon, or a Soft Composite. Or a full-on Composite if you're a mad man..

Conclusion

"You took away my future. I'm simply returning the favor. Oh, don't worry, I'll be a good mentor. Supportive, encouraging. Everything you weren't.”

Attack Potency/Durability

  • Syndrome/Syndrome's Guards - Building - Town Level
    • Syndrome's Guards are trained to fight supers and can take many hits from Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, Mr. Incredible especially being far stronger than supers like Blazestone who can light buildings on fire or Hypershock who can create cosmic earthquakes
    • While they're obviously weaker than these supers, downscaling is very consistent
    • Syndrome would obviously scale to his own guards as they are all normal humans
    • Using DI, Syndrome also takes attacks from Mr. Incredible

  • Omnidroids/Syndrome Tech - (Low End) City - Mountain Level
    • The Omnidroids easily upscale the supers and are capable of fighting Mr. Incredible who's the most powerful super, Syndrome's tech consistently scaling to them too
    • Should scale to Bomb Voyage's bombs which could atomize the Eiffel Tower
    • More powerful than Mrs. Incredible who replicated an earthquake event while holding together a large mall for a good amount of time
  • (Mid End) Large Mountain - Small Country
    • Mr. Incredible downscaling the Magnomizer at its worst ends would be in the mountain range
    • Should scale to the villain “Vine" who spread powerful vines across the entire city
  • (High End) Multi-Continental - Planet
    • Mr. Incredible could survive large pulses of Magnomizer energy while it was shaking the earth and flipping the planet
    • Mr. Incredible was able to unscrew the base that was holding and withstanding the Magnomizers physical and damaging energy

Speed

  • Overall scaling - Sub-Rela - Relativistic - FTL
    • Syndrome can consistently react to supers such as Mr. Incredible and catch the Incredibles off guard
    • Scales to normal humans who can keep up with the Incredibles consistently
    • Can react to the Omnidroids lasers which can tag supers
    • Normal humans are capable of reacting to lasers
    • Scales to Mr. Incredible who instantly reacted to one of Jack Jack's laser beams

Notable Arsenal and Abilities

  • Rocket boots that allow Buddy to fly as much as he pleases

  • Has access to the Omnidroid V.10 which is more powerful than any super in the verse, can constantly learn and adapt to its opponent and constantly predict their moves, and can grow so smart it could break it's programming which can be a weakness if Syndrome executes his plan very poorly

Possible Matchups:

[Our work is not done yet, while I have covered everything Syndrome has done and is capable of, we still must find someone who could potentially be capable of taking him down. The Everseer saw many futures and many of them shows he's victorious, we merely revealed ways he was defeated as they could potentially happen. However we must take all precautions and find people who may be able to defeat him, and the Everseer showed me many possible options.]

Shroud (Dispatch)

"Heroes. Are the past. With the pulse, I’ll control this city and restore balance. I’ll bring order to chaos."

This is an interesting choice, a vulgar choice? Sure, but still interesting. Elliot Connors was former sidekick who wanted to join the Brave Brigade, a team of heroes, but after he was rejected he took it personally and swore to a path of villainy by creating an entire secret organization that wants to change the views of superheroes, yeesh…I can see the similarities already, well fight fire with fire I guess. He became a powerful villain named Shroud who had a personal vendetta against the infamous hero, MechaMan. Now obviously both once had admiration for heroic ideals until rejection and disillusionment led them to turn to villainy and to lead secret organizations in order to stain the legacy of the heroes, especially the ones that rejected them.

Rather than relying on special powers, they rely on technology, gadgets, and support to get the job done. Shroud has many many criminals and supervillains who joined his side, they would definitely help fight against the dozens of Syndrome's armed forces. They both have a great amount of technology they use to their advantage, and Shroud having access to a powerful weapon named the Spider Armor that shoots lasers and flies could definitely help against the Omnidroid threat. And Shroud has gained the help of many powerful augmented villains who could dispose of the Omnidroid army. Overall an interesting contender.

Vox (Hazbin Hotel)

“As long as I wipe that smile off Alastor's fucking face... I DON’T CARE WHAT HAPPENS."

A guy with a TV head huh, I guess I've seen weirder things. Vince Whittman was a media man who climbed up the ranks through killing his competition in order to shine brighter. However as he was killed during a cult lecture, he showed up in hell and became Vox, the media demon. Vox was a powerful overlord part of an infamous group called the Vees, however he seeked validation and respect from a fellow demon named Alastor. But after he got harshly rejected, he took it personally and decided to truly prove his superiority once and for all. I'm noticing a theme here now.

Both of them were rejected by people they admired and looked up to, took that rejection and turned it into a need to prove that they were better than them. They have a desire and need for validation, and despite the constant attempt to pretend they don't care anymore, deep down they just want them to notice their efforts and impress them by showing how much better they are. Vox is obviously a tech based hell-thing with many subordinates to work with him, he has giant powerful robots, and he himself is capable of fighting at impressive lengths, I'd say he has enough to match what Syndrome could throw. Another interesting candidate…although another vulgar one too…

Doctor Starline (Sonic)

"I won't be conquering the world to prove myself to Dr. Eggman. I'll conquer it to prove it to myself. And I won't be proving I'm Eggman's equal. I'll prove I'm his superior replacement.”

That's a platypus, a talking platypus with a coat, again I've seen weirder things. Doctor Starline was once a fanboy of genius supervillain Doctor Ivo Robotnik, or Doctor Eggman. However after being rejected…oh you gotta be kidding me. Okay both of them were geniuses who wanted to be the sidekicks to their heroes they looked up to, however they were rejected and believed their talents and minds were personally discarded. So they would work in secret and create their own lands to work on their plans to truly prove that they were better than their heroes. They created enemies that would be used to challenge the heroes, made their own military, and even attempted to control two vulnerable victims and turn then against their rivals, all to prove that they had more potential to be greater at what their heroes did than them.

They would gain jealousy from seeing that they were close to other people while they were rejected and given no chance to be that close to them, and all of their plans to essentially become their heroes was all out of a desire to impress them and have them notice how great their efforts have been. They learned to “never meet your idols" but ended up trying as hard as they could to get the attention of their idols. It's kinda funny actually, even when they both died it was because of their overconfidence and by accident being like their heroes. Both have lots of very versatile technology with abilities to match, have many explosive devices and energy based attacks, can make up for their physicality with technology, command an army of powerful robots and forces, and have powerful giant robots that could clash with each other. A very interesting option to say the least.

Tighten (Megamind)

“Hey, Metro losers! This, is Metro Tower! They say it's supposed to be a symbol of our city's strength, but for me, it's a reminder of the day this woman ferociously ripped out my heart! And I hate reminders!”

That's…interesting. Hal Stuart was an ordinary cameraman who had eyes for hot reporter Roxanne Richie, but he was a loser who had nothing going on except for a very weird and awkward behavior towards the so called love of his life. But one day after being infused by a solution that would give him superpowers, he realized he could finally be the hero Roxanne needed so she could finally love him. He would be trained by his space dad, and his space step-mom, to truly master being a hero. He would become the hero “Tighten" and finally show Roxanne how great of a hero he was. But after he was…harshly rejected…he took it personally and…decided to go into a life of crime, because he decided that being a hero was for losers. He lost the motivation to be a hero, might as well be a villain.

But as it turned out, his space dad was actually the supervillain Megamind who had tricked him into being a hero in order to finally have a superhero fight after the previous hero Metroman had died in an epic battle with Megamind. Tighten defeated the big headed villain, but he decided he still was not going to be a hero, and he wanted to murder the villain. He took over the entire city and became the villain the city feared, he captured Roxanne and wanted to show everyone that her rejection had caused this despite saying he was over her. But even though he had amazing powers, he was ultimately defeated by Megamind and was put in prison for his villainous deeds.

These two are what the Everseer calls, “incels who could not handle rejection and took it out on everyone", I do not understand what it means but it sounds about right. What makes the confrontation interesting is how their ideologies and representations clash. A villain who wanted to prove he was the greatest super alive because being a hero was his lifelong dream vs a villain who had the chance to be a great hero and chose villainy because being a hero was a waste of his time. The ultimate battle between insecure nerds, one who gained the power he needed and wasted vs one who used his tech to mimic actual power. Tighten fighting another tech based villain who wants to use his power and Syndrome fighting another super who wastes his powers.

[I wish I could comment more but I must get out of here, he found me and I cannot reveal much more, but here is my final warning, please remember that rejection does not mean you should seek vengeance for it…you must persevere and grow, not take it out on the innocent. I think I…dammit…please take my warning seriously…please..for the sake of-]
